I've previously used 1usmus's rather good DRAM Calculator for Ryzen (here) to tighten timings of DDR4 on my previous Ryzen based PC builds. I can't find a DDR5 variant, so have been tweaking timings to see if I can improve throughput and / or latency. Below are my current timings for the pair of AData XPG Caster DDR5 6000MHz 16GB DRAM CL40-40-40 in the PC (and a second set after some more tweaks):
Most recently I've been reducing tRAS, tWR and tFAW, with some improvements (and a fair few refusals to boot requiring CMOS to be cleared and start from scratch). Any advice on which parameters to change for further improvements / to fix an apparent mis-match of settings would be much appreciated.[/IMG]
