Zoo planning tools (Part 1): animals by country guide

Going by country is interesting but obviously results in a much higher resolution for some regions (e.g., Europe) than others (e.g., North America, Australia). Perhaps for the largest countries (by area - e.g., Australia, USA, Canada, Russia, India, China) there could be a further reduction of scale? E.g., states, regions or similar?

I also made a map using the data; there was one without exhibits somewhere but unfortunately I can't find it right now.

Personally, its crazy to me how even the best-represented countries (South Africa, the USA, and India) still arguably have species that would help them feel more complete, and it's nuts to me how even with exhibits counted, Oceania, South America, and the Middle East/North Africa lag so far behind some other areas.

That's amazing! Could you widen the colour scale? Now it goes from Orange to red, which doesn't highlight gaps enough.

I don’t think there is a permanent population in NZ…. There is on Macquarie Island but that’s a) administered by Australia and b) a long way from either Aus or NZ.

Not bad, South Korea is the only continental country without representation in Planet Zoo (and it's probably due to the poor state of its wildlife).

I found slightly surprising that India is in the top most represented countries and yet I still think we should get more Indian animals!
