A new version of Zoo Tycoon was announced at Gamescom 2017. Here is the description:

I don't know why it's not done by Frontier... I also don't see I should buy this version of the game since the original game is not that great in term of creativity compared to the real Zoo Tycoon 2.

The only new thing is new animals from South-America and Australia and better visual, but other than that, it's the same boring game.

I enjoy playing Zoo Tycoon from time to time on Xbox One, but I don't like the fact that you are very limited in everything (no custom made path or enclosure and limited park size) and janitor are not cleaning the park... I have to clean everything manually. Visually the game is stunning and that's the only good thing about the game.

I think this new version will be great for newcomers, but for people who have the original game, it's not worth it.

Interesting - and I am quite disappointed that FD haven't done the sequel. My daughter still plays this game on occasion, it is good fun. The only complaint we really have is that zoos are very limited in size, and the limit can be reached far too quickly.

I'll certainly take a look when the new game comes out. If it is basically the same just in 4K, though, then I'll be giving it a miss.

Does this version have the same Zoo Limit the previous one does? I deeply apologize if this has already been answered.

Will there be a better one in the future?

I looked at the gameplay and trailers. I have read many reviews. It looks awesome and inviting but too many complaints of too many bugs and crashes. I was curious if Frontier was planning to do maybe a future Zoo Tycoon with something that is between Planet Coaster and Zoo Tycoon. Maybe take the similar approach as to Jurassic World. The more interaction with the animals and the more abundance and animations of the many different behaviors of each creature would be a welcome. Maybe in addition to have entertainment to play games with certain animals while building on having the full freedom to create and make the zoo of one's dreams. Allow there to be rides and events that can further the interaction on top of what was already placed. Take out the bugs and glitches and place it on all platforms and I am sure it would be awesome. Highly detailed animals to watch and interact with would be a joy along with the managing of a zoo. But the question remains will there be a future one that would be greater than this one that seems to be a foundation to move forward on?

I finally bought it and played it on Win 10. I really like the concept to it. I enjoy the animals that is in it and of course could hope for more. I believe it could use a bit more polish. While playing there was glitches with animation and/or animal model. There was also glitches that occurred in the interaction of feeding/washing as it wasn't smooth. It took several tries to allow it to do it properly otherwise I was shooting a squirt gun as it wouldn't recognize I was trying to wash the animal or grabbing the food that I was trying to choose to feed the animal with. I really like these interactions and believe that this can be extended with further interactions with the animals which would be nice. It would be nice to have additional animal handlers for more attractions and varieties of reactions/interactions when triggered. I believe it could benefit with aquatic and air animals and extension to the many kinds of animals. I enjoy watching and interacting with the animals. It would be cool if there were some more ways to interact with them as I have suggested before. I believe it would also be beneficial if we as the player would have more freedom to decorate the habitats and zoo with a bit more freedom much like Planet Coaster. I am not sure about the invisible walls as I haven't gotten that far for how big you can make the zoo. But if anything I would hope they are huge where one can make several areas of your zoo as that would be enjoyable. I like the zoo carts but I believe if there was also a monorail system/boat system that we could place within our zoos. That would be fun. Thrillville had it where we could interact with the customers. It would be nice to see that come back. I truly appreciate the effort to the game. The glitches aren't fun and makes it hard to enjoy the game as much as I want to as I do like seeing the animals in such detail. Would like them further patched up to enjoy the game as it was meant to be if not better. I believe to have more attractions and things for us as the player to place for the animals to interact with would give variety and new animations to watch and enjoy. There is so many other animals that would be perfect for the game and hope that they would be added or placed within a sequel perhaps with even a higher resolution. :) Again, I am grateful for the game and hope that you all will continue to support it to get rid of the bugs/glitches so that it can be further enjoyed with a higher ranking and give greater hope to that which can be added to this one or be addressed in a sequel. Many have a love and enjoymet of Zoo Tycoon 2. Perhaps if there was a sequel or addition then it may add a lot of things that people enjoyed in it blending with the innovation and additions brought by this one.

With the challenge of visitors satisfaction. What can I do to saw the satisfaction of the visitor bar?

Just to add to my earlier comment... The Ultimate edition does get rid of a whole load of irritations from the original release (including the size limitation - it no longer exists!). You can also build custom paths. There are a whole load of UI improvements, too.

Feedback from my daughter is that the new release is definitely worth it - though also note that it is free at the moment with the Xbox Game Pass.
