Has Frontier taken into account the effect Thargoid attacks will have on Powerplay?

except... there are still 5 NAMED stargoids inbound on the bubble.
no, you are fighting a losing war and that is the story that fdev is trying to tell you.
just because your feels tell you its gonna be ok, its not.
life be like that sometimes.
it will open up some neat new gameplay aspects tho, so theres that...
I don't have any particular feelings on this topic outside of RP, but ok 🤷‍♂️ We are fighting a losing war until we aren't, what can I say. It is a game. FDev will inject new stuff in this war so people don't get bored.

Seems I need to update my attitude once more.

Li Yong-Rui HAS seen the 26 CC drop in the income provided by HIP 20577; it isn't shown directly in the PowerPlay data available in game, as that hasn't been properly updated, but the power's total income has dropped and this is the only explanation.

This changes things significantly, as the invasion is now showing itself to actually impact PowerPlay negatively.

We aren't at a point where we can see if pushing the invaders out of a previously populated system will return the lost population (and then CC to the control system), and we possibly won't see if this is the case for a few weeks - at least that seems to be the timeline that I have managed to find (and I'm not going to claim to be omniscient).

We also haven't seen what happens if a control system is not only invaded but completely abandoned. Will it still collect radius income? Will it simply be counted as completely lost to the power? Something inbetween?

yes im quite excited to see what happens when they start expanding...
im going to have to refine a few of my formulas as well tho... bgs is a whole new game now.
not sure how population could return to a system when all the stations/settlements are razed tho. as for control, fdev has said they have given bgs merit to the thargoids now, so im thinking they are a new power and will get the income from the systems they take.

I think once PP and BGS is overhauled to be in line with the new AI then we can see the invasion as it happens.

That's why we're evacuating them further into the bubble, so that the population of that system is displaced, not lost.

There's a whole "post-Thargoid recovery" system state for systems we successfully defend from the Thargoids, and there are timers on the Thargoid controlled systems for attempts by us to re-take them. This means that human infrastructure can be re-built, and populations can migrate back to their home systems.

Dunno if it allows for a full revert, but the narrative mechanisms are in place for systems to be retaken, rebuilt, and repopulated. All while you get paid for being part of it.

Oya, targeting Cephei Sector BV-Y B4, is going to get close to Insubii (Mahon, 23.35 light years), Muncheim (Grom, 24.56 LY), HIP 59879 (Mahon, 32.04 LY), GCRV 2743 (Antal, 33.77 LY) and Nurundere (Hudson, 40.27 LY).

Cocijo, targeting Col 285 Sector BA-P C6-18, isn't going to be close to any PowerPlay bubbles.

I don't know exactly the size of the Thargoid bubbles. If they start at 15 light years like PowerPlay control systems, Insubii and Muncheim are in the blast zone.

The closest system to Col 285 Sector BA-P C6-18 seems to be HIP 38747 (Winters, 47.67 LY) and Kappa (Torval, 48.90 LY), and that seems unlikely to be within immediate reach.
