The Open v Solo v Groups thread

Depends on, for me mostly experience goes, submit, boost towards attacker, choose high jump destination, engage hyperdrive.
Rinse and repeat. Very spicy very exhilarating. Never deploy weapons just run...
Well it requires more skill and ship ability than PvE.

And if its that easy, why go block crazy?

If you want to unwind, go somewhere quiet and not pick crazy places then. I don't pick warzones or crime ridden hell-holes for a weekend break.
Define "quiet" and "not crazy places" - as I suspect that the venn overlap with "places where anything is going on in relation to the game's unfolding storyline" would be quite large.
Chat is the sprinkles on the sundae when you escape an attack like a boss.
That type of play would seem to float some players' boats - not all players though.

If your Block list is longer than your friends list you know there's something wrong with Open, come on even you cant condone some of the idiots pad blocking?

Why do you block pad blockers? You have to change instance (log) anyways, and the chance to encounter another rando again is miniscule...

Because I value my time, and because I think those kind of attackers break my immersion, and are basically errors in universe. And lets be truthfull, it does not actually need great skill when flying with fully tanked up behemoth ship...

Well going to places with other people. If you want quiet trading, go to one of the bazillion systems that see no-one- so rather than using INARA to block the nasty people from the future you look for places to unwind in.

Its a laugh. Its like the GG or o7 after a good fight. That or rubbing it in when a rival pledge thinks they were more clever than you.

Yet those who tolerate / support gankers want everyone else to change how they play....
No, we are merely suggesting a change. The gank-intolerant however constantly ask for the game to be changed to accommodate their special needs, to the detriment of players like me who enjoy open mode the way it is.

This is where the block feature may be useful in ensuring that it does not happen again with that particular combative CMDR.
But they still have to die more often than not, and cry into a pillow because they lost a ship. I know you want the power to look into a commanders soul and try to find the evil, but its not possible until you meet them.

Just like Open mode players complain that us in Solo/PG affect the game and want it changed?
