Rest assured that I can live with that.Problem is that everyone has their own interpretation of 'Wheaton's Law'. I'm just pointing out that yours violates mine.

And by the way, that is a really weak argument. You can push someone into actions without physically forcing them.Unless some ganker comes over to your system, pushes you aside, and starts blocking people, who ever you block is on you.
All my (3) squad buddies were recruited by a initial o7.What do you get from o7'ing other CMDRs?
Cool. When I was still part of the Reapers I was recruited by a gank attempt, as were a dozen othersAll my (3) squad buddies were recruited by a initial o7.
I've never been successfully pirated, met quite a few Code members back in the day & ended up siding with them for some BGS stuff because they were interesting

What? Wrong? Do you have logic for that one?Let me put it this way:
If your block list is longer than your friends list, your attitude is probably wrong.
Interaction = get shot with high powered weapons. What? Wrong? Do you have logic for that one?
Some players don't want friends, they want acquaintances...they like seeing everyone in open...but don't want interaction...(no, don't ask me why)
Any commander who gets too 'fresh' gets blocked...
Amd now you are not with the "Reapers" (whoever that is) any more. I have formed a close bond with my mates and we practice intensive role-play (ingame of course, not the other role-play thing...Cool. When I was still part of the Reapers I was recruited by a gank attempt, as were a dozen others![]()
I've got a fair sized friend list that I've gathered in open, many many more of them didn't shoot at me than did...Interaction = get shot with high powered weapons.
Some people gosh do not like it.
Well first time is always the first time. For some people it does leave a pretty bad taste in mouth. Others maybe less.I've got a fair sized friend list that I've gathered in open, many many more of them didn't shoot at me than did...
Its great seeing so many commanders in open lately...since U14...its like a whole different game...I can understand why players complain about lack of commanders in open.
Haven't been ganked so far yet,

It really isn't hard to make friends in the game. Ironically, the best way to learn gank evasion is by being friends with a few gankers. They'll show you the ropes and tell you all you need to know. They literally help you to "git gud" and enjoy the game more.Cool. When I was still part of the Reapers I was recruited by a gank attempt, as were a dozen others![]()
I agree...Well first time is always the first time. For some people it does leave a pretty bad taste in mouth. Others maybe less.
Perhaps that does represent our fundamental differences. I play this game as roleplaying game, my commander is Imperial nobleman and behaves in universe how his kind of people are expected to behave. That ganky ganker just plays some fortnite in space. For my commander ganky ganker is error in universe. And needs to be edited out.Because it shows that you're not mature enough to separate reality from a video game.
Well they fly builds that actually wake you from your slumber for one. Some players are significantly less fun to be around than NPCs.
One reason off the top of my head: BGS data (but thats dependent on where you are and who you might be aligned with- maybe I should check INARA and see who they belong toNPC's have in game reasons. No NPC has ever blown up my exploration ship.
Posts like these just reek of arrogance and delusions of superiority. If we were playing face to face we wouldn't have this argument. If I played a board game or some kind of sports game with someone in real life, and that someone would bend or abuse the rules to behave like a Richard and disturb the peace, there would no argument of seperating game play from real life. The person would get told of or be asked to leave. Edit: And I also would strongly reconsider if I wanted to become friends with the person if that kind of behaviour persisted /edit. The anonymity of the internet gives this perfect excuse of "oh it is just a game, in real life I am really nice, learn to differentiate game and reality". Fact is, you (the proverbial you, not you personally) willingly and intentionally disturb other players' game for your own entertainment, and this needs to be called out as such. In real life, that wouldn't fly. On the internet, this is "as intended". Ask me? Disgusting facade to hide behind. But then of course, if your first reaction to a gank is to cry in system chat and call the ganker an idiot, psychopath, low IQ basement dweller etc., friendship is no longer an option. Because it shows that you're not mature enough to separate reality from a video game.
I accidentally chose Open one day, and fell off my chair when the NPCs started talking to meCool. When I was still part of the Reapers I was recruited by a gank attempt, as were a dozen others![]()
Well nicely telling me if my data in system is wanted or not, or where said commander would like it be delivered would work also. My commander is kind of gentleman in his dealings. One reason off the top of my head: BGS data (but thats dependent on where you are and who you might be aligned with- maybe I should check INARA and see who they belong to)
Jordan Cobalt came closest to successfully pirating my CMDR back in April 2015. He didn't get away with any cargo, but he did cost my CMDR several tons of rares and almost shot down the Asp I was flying.
The truth always hurtscall the ganker an idiot, psychopath, low IQ basement dweller etc
