Not just fleet carriers but anyone not crawling along on minimum jump range is going to be skipping past multiple stars each jump. So in fact it has been happening to an extent since exploration started, it would have become more marked with engineered FSDs and later Guardian boosters.…
An interesting thing about this trip is that although I'm still only 1,510 LY from Sol, I've been able to get a few first discoveries on the way, including a couple of complete systems.
I wonder if the reason for this is because now that so many people have fleet carriers these days and often do 500 LY jumps in them, they miss out on quite a few systems along the way, so me in my dinky lil' Asp X is able to go in the same direction with its 55 LY jump range and discover the systems that many others have bypassed?![]()
Yes that's true I guess. After I've finished with the bios in the system I'm in right now, I might hang around in this area for a while longer and just do shortish jumps in various directions to see if I can find any more first discoveries and also try to get any more exobiology that might appear. Not just fleet carriers but anyone not crawling along on minimum jump range is going to be skipping past multiple stars each jump. So in fact it has been happening to an extent since exploration started, it would have become more marked with engineered FSDs and later Guardian boosters.
Ah, the much-ignored "Aldrin Moment"...@Tyres O'Flaherty
Now I know how Buzz Aldrin feels - Second footfall for me on this moon.

Somewhere between "melts through your intestines and the floor (if not reinforced ceramics)" and "kills a cow 50 steps away"?Found my source of spicy heat for chilli-con-carne and curry - and various other dishes. I'm just wondering how they measure on the Scoville scale:

Definitely over 9,000.I'm just wondering how they measure on the Scoville scale:
That would be around 15,000,000 on the Scoville scale, I guess.Somewhere between "melts through your intestines and the floor (if not reinforced ceramics)" and "kills a cow 50 steps away"?![]()

Excellent!Looks delicious.
I've found with Fungus and stuff that likes to hide in mountains, the best bodies are the ones that have mountain ranges with plenty of nice flat plateaus you can easily land on, as they can often be found there. If all you can find are lots of sharp pointy mountains, like on a body I was on earlier then just forget it!
Btw I've done all I want to do in yer 35 bio system now Tyres and managed to get 27 in the end. Only got a couple of Codex ones amongst that lot but as I'm still in the Inner Orion Spur I wasn't exactly holding my breath anyway!
Thanks for the info about that system though and was still well worth checking out.![]()
Definitely way above the moruga scorpions, chocolate bhutlah's and Carolina reapers I'd imagineSomewhere between "melts through your intestines and the floor (if not reinforced ceramics)" and "kills a cow 50 steps away"?![]()

Indeed, I think it's even more lucrative than mining now.I only recently learned how lucrative biological sampling is...
