I think you'll find that Brain Trees are worth lots more than that, after Update 14. I'm not sure exactly how EDDiscovery works in this respect, but it looks very much like if you scroll down a bit in the organic scan log, the values given are much less and look like they are the ones that applied before Update 14 came in.

In fact, in your screenshot above for Fonticulua, the top line shows a value of 1 million credits, but there's another line for Fonticulua near the bottom showing a value of only 63,600 CR. I scrolled down a bit in my list as well and found the same sort of discrepancy in the values given.

As I mentioned a few pages ago, I found some Brain Trees as well but the log doesn't seem to go down far enough to see what the values given were for those, but I'd imagine they were for the old values and not the post Update 14 ones.

EDIT: Just noticed that you made the same point as well @Teiri (y)

I'm currently on my way to an asteroid base in the Pencil Sector to offload all this valuable data, in case I have some sort of careless mishap and lose my ship along with all the data. I might then return to the Outer Orion Spur, or maybe go to the Sanguineous Rim to get some more.

Along this route, I just now came across a system that had only been partly discovered by another commander, but among the bodies that I managed to get first discoveries and first maps on were SIX terraformable bodies, which according to EDDiscovery were worth a total of over 14.5 million. Also, on one of those bodies there was a single bio which oddly was not Bacterium but Stratum Tectonica, apparently worth just over 19 million, even when not a Codex one.

So, just on this one system alone I have apparently managed to fill me boots with more than 33.5 million.

Question for all you lovely CMDR's.

How do you use EDDiscovery, if at all?

To clarify, I mean what do you use it for - I know how it actually works :D I'm just trying to figure out what it's best for.
I use it because it lets me easily read my journals, for one. I like being able to check stuff on occasion.

I like having a ledger that shows my earnings, etc. The program keeps track of all my scans for me, visited stars, etc. I can see where I was on any particular date, see how my ranks are progressing (I'm 51% into Deadly, for example), look at any of my ships and push their loadouts to either Coriolis or EDSY, stuff like that. I occasionally look at the 3D map of my travels.

It's like having a secretary who always keeps track of stuff for me.

I also have it set up to convert my screenshots to smaller JPGs that will upload to the forum, plus it names the screenshots with the date, system and body so I know where the screenshot was taken.

There's a bunch of things I've never used, and the UI is a bit primitive, but the program works very well and is kept updated.

The convert pictures as you take them is one of my favourite bits of EDD the good news is you can get a plug-in for Elite Dangerous Market Connector that will do the same trick of converting the pictures to a format of your choice and renaming them in your chosen manor and saving them in a selected directory.

Yeah, it's great. I used to convert them manually one by one when I wanted to upload something. Now I don't have to :)
I really ought to take advantage of that functionality. I'm always resaving them as JPG's in Paint.Net.
I've been using GIMP to re-size and re-save as JPG since I stopped my Adobe subscription, but it's a real pain to use after 30 years of Photoshop institutionalisation.

Howdy all. I've been distracted by RL for some time, so I have no clue how things are progressing with the war. Can anyone give a short status report?

Thanks in advance :alien:
There is an ongoing war, with various systems under attack. You can see them on the Galaxy map now.

It's designed as a sort of ongoing CG thing, with a weekly reset. We have to 'win' the system in a week, or it just resets. It's very gamey, if you ask me, and kind of put me off participating.

I did outfit a Challenger for killing scouts, and had some fun with that. Right now I'm kind of laying low and deciding what I want to do next.

Now this is something I certainly haven't seen before...
