Jurassic World Evolution 2: Feathered Species Pack and Update 6 coming 30 March 2023

If they're gonna make a pack dedicated to cosmetics (and I honestly hope they don't) a feathered dinosaur skin pack would make far more sense.
It would be cold because at least 24 species that would fit the bill would be awesome to have bioluminescent skins because styxosaurus and parasaurolophus definitely look lonely. And if not a cosmetic pack then I would definitely settle with A sea reptiles pack all new sea creatures species could have bioluminescent cosmetics. And would absolutely look cool in the dark. As soon as new animations are added to all the sea reptiles that is in a free update.

A new dinosaur pack is always welcome but I'm very excited for the new viewing galleries as well as the additional sandbox settings and new maps. Hope these are HUGE and let us take advantage of a big (if not entire) area. While all the JWE2 maps are in fact bigger than the JWE1 maps, most of them are out of bounds scenery and the actual playable area seems just as small as in JWE1. That being said, I still am hopeful someday we can get the JWE1 maps added into JWE2. Or maybe even get the whole campaign added in some sort of dlc. I'd love to play through the JWE1 campaigns with the new features of JWE2. Also miss the models for the shops and power substations from the Return to Jurassic Park dlc. The shops in JWE2 are ugly because they're all just a box. There should be another modular option for building shape so we can make some of them round like the gift shop from RTJP. Also making a JP themed park is annoying when all the substations and pylons use the JW aesthetic. I don't see why this is still the case when the first game had JP versions of these already.

These are just my personal little gripes. It's nice to see this game is still being updated. You guys do excellent work. It just seems like there's a handful of obvious things that somehow manage to keep passing under the radar, like every building having a different version for each "era" namely the substations and pylons that I previously mentioned. Also there's the zip-line, but I heard rumors that one's getting addressed so thanks for that!

I'd also like to see more path options. I'd really love the 3 paths from the RTJP dlc brought back into JWE2. Also every path should have all 3 width options, including the cheap and facility paths. Most of the stuff I'm hoping for involves assets you already have. It shouldn't be that hard to just add it. Having options and variety is a HUGE qol in games like this.

So this new insectivore feeder... is it safe to assume it'll be part of the free update? And will any animals besides Jeholopterus be able to use it?

Hey Jen’s I saw the new dlc trailer awesome new dinosaurs but here’s the thing and that is the update on march 30 with this update finally fix my sandbox mode maps from being crash and no the sandbox mode didn’t crash because of too many buildings in save files because one time I put less buildings on isla nublar 2015 map with one lagoon, one Avery and one enclosure and then out of no where the game crash

This is so cool, but I don’t know if the Deinocheirus is a large Omnivore on the size of Therizinosaurus or Giganotosaurus or even Spinosaurus and if Yutyrannus is medium because it probably is but the poster for the update the perspective on that makes it look small

Size of Deinocheirus seems fine to me, and there is no perspective in that poster for Yutyrannus whatsoever so complaining is completely pointless.
Stop asking for oversizing in a game where most theropods are oversized anyway.

I hope and think so. Would be weird if a new mechanic is only used by one species that's part of the paid DLC and is not in base game.

Not a big fan of feathered dinosaurs. But the ones released in the Dominion DLC and the feathered DLC dinosaurs look really good. Especially the Yutyrannus. What I am really interested in is the new square maps. I can't wait to see what they look like. I hope they have the decorative surroundings like the other maps. I like the way it looks with the maps we have. It makes the maps feel bigger than they are. It should make an even bigger map feel huge.

To be honest, I think that you probably just have an old / faulty PS4. Evolution Square posted a poll that showed that 30% of her viewers are previous gen console games, yet only the Xbox players seem to have mentioned crashing issues to her. I've only had 4 crashes in well over 110 hours of playing on PS5.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling yet? This might be painful, but resetting your PS4 to factory settings and / or deleting the save files might also work.

To be fair, until recently, most depictions of feathered dinosaurs, including unfortunately a lot of museum models, sucked cause people didn't know how to render them so they just looked like they had feathers glued on and sticking out everywhere. While that's less of an issue now, a new issue has cropped up now where, usually non-professional, artists just copy and paste modern bird colour schemes onto their feathered dinosaurs instead of being more imaginative and creature and then pretend that they're so original. Plus, aside from tyrannosaurs and raptors, most definitely feathered species were small, herbivorous / omnivorous, or at least mostly only ate small prey so they wouldn't be the most highly appealing species, regardless of their skin covering.

Then I will lose everything I work hard for from day one when this game was release
