What is our best hope now for more monkeys?

So one of the reasons people really were hoping for a tropical/rainforests pack was for more monkeys, now with the Tropical pack revealed and no monkeys what now? I feel like the best bet to get a good amount of monkeys in the game has now passed, there is still options but I think we really need to let Frontier know that we really need more monkeys in the game...

Like I mentioned in the Summer DLC thread, I think an arboreal pack is the last reasonable hope for multiple small monkeys. There's a few other ways for larger monkeys to get in (baboon in drylands or highlands, maybe crested macaque in islands) but aside from that the only other route I can envision is maybe a single tamarin or squirrel monkey in a children's zoo pack.

An Amazon Animal Pack?

From that I’d like:
  • Black-Capped Squirrel Monkey
  • White-Faced Saki
  • Black and Gold Howler

A Central America Pack?
- Geoffroy’s Spider Monkey

A Sub-Saharan Pack?
  • Mantled Guereza
  • De Brazza Monkey
  • Grivets
  • Aye-Aye

Honestly I think we could fully justify a full Primate pack right now? They're easily the most under represented group relative to diversity in zoos.

So I'd pitch, trying to go for variety and plausibility:

 Primate Pack

Black Howler Monkey
Olive Baboon
Golden Lion Tamarin
Golden Snub-nosed Monkey
Uakiri
Aye-aye
Indri

Exhibit: Tarsier sp.

Tbh, I strongly doubt they would do this, but honestly I think that's the kind of big gesture needed to get prinates in line?

I'm gonna say there isn't much hope if we follow past years on primate inclusions. We have our first primate of the year in a tropical pack, while not a monkey it still fills the primate gap nonetheless. Possibly just one more this year unless frontier comes to terms with the forums requests and finds an excellent theme to add them in - likely an animal pack with arboreal or some sort of south American theme

While I'm 100% on board with a primate pack, I'd absolutely dread getting three with, as best as I can tell, no captive presence outside of perhaps their native ranges.

I mean, to be fair, I'm fairly solidly zoo presence agnostic in my animal choices to be fair, but which ones are you refering to? Indri is the only one that I can tell has zero zoo presence, and you could replace that with say... a shifaka is that's more to taste?

Bald uakari and golden-snub nosed monkey are totally absent from at least North America and Europe. But sure, replace the indri with a sifaka and the uakari with a saki and that's good enough for me.
I mean, Golden Snub nosed sounds like is it/has been in Japan/South Korean/Singapore zoos and Uakiris seem be in LA? Dunno, I'm just a visually interesting species kinda person lol

Honestly I feel robbed.
Lar gibbon was once on my meta wishlist, I lost passion after the disappointing results of the siamangs. Either they can make it up to us with the lar gibbon being improved or follow the same result as the Siamang.
Tropics really should have given us a monkey.
There’s several topics about the lack of monkey representation and how it’s been a long time since we have gotten a monkey.

Monkey Pack. Next release please. I'm not even hugely into the monkeys and I absolutely see the need and am, not to be dramatic about it, shocked that there is no monkey in the new pack. If we are just talking in general terms, monkeys and specifically new world monkey additions are the most important type of mammal that could be added to the game's roster. Right now, and until we get at least two and if not three or four, the South American sections of our zoo will look and feel incomplete. to say nothing of birds, just focusing on mammal talk here.

Well, I still expect a "Woodlands" pack down the line, where I can definitley see some primates being included (together with the Tasmanian devil, maybe even a tree kangaroo). But yeah, the Tropical pack would actually have been good if we wouldn't have gotten a spider monkey instead of the gibbon.
And I can totally see a squirrel monkey as the anniversary animal for this year, if we really get one.

I am one of the people that still wanted a Lar Gibbon even after Siamang being introduced, so I am glad with the pick. But it does not neglate my wishes for ANY new monkeys at this point. I am affraid we might get a 1 or two, one of them possibly being a Baboon.

We certainly need ALOT more, not really sure how well this will turn out.

Imho it would have helped a lot if people would have concentrated on voting for the highest ranking monkeys in the wishlist, like black howler monkey, hamadryas baboon and golden lion tamarin to make sure that we at least get these three. Instead, monkey lovers were voting for hundreds of different species and thus preventing monkeys from climbing to the top of the wishlist...

At least 4 more monkeys are needed in my opinion. 2 from SA Howler and Spider monkey, one from Africa I would prefer Mantled guereza and one from Asia - totally unique Lion tailed macaque.
I am not the biggest fan of baboons but I realize they might also be very important for many people. I would be more interested in Gelada probably.

While I also would have loved a SA primate to be included in the tropical pack, I'm still very optimistic that we'll see some more primates in the future. Frontier listens a lot to the community, I'm sure they know these wishes and will try to please our needs as much as possible. :)
I mean just take a look on how many highly wished animals we got since the Wetlands dlc.
