What is our best hope now for more monkeys?

At least 4 more monkeys are needed in my opinion. 2 from SA Howler and Spider monkey, one from Africa I would prefer Mantled guereza and one from Asia - totally unique Lion tailed macaque.
I am not the biggest fan of baboons but I realize they might also be very important for many people. I would be more interested in Gelada probably.
Pretty much on the same train, if I'm being down to earth for my primates' wishlist. I would love a Sifaka, (m)any langur of the Semnopithecus or Trachypithecus family and the Golden Snub-Nose Monkey (Rhinopithecus roxellana) + Wooly Monkeys (Lagothrix lagotricha) and a Titi (Callicebus sp.) if I'm being greedy.

Rainforest Animal Pack
  • Ocelot
  • Black howler monkey/Spider monkey
  • South american coati
  • Black and white colobus monkey
  • Sloth bear
  • Tree kangaroo
  • Scarlet ibis
  • WE: Macaws

Arboreal Pack

  • Spider monkey
  • Ocelot
  • Tree kangaroo
  • Aye-aye
  • WE: Parrots/Macaws

Some kind of treetops pack seems like the best bet for birds and monkeys, though odds are good that an ocelot and a NA black bear will take two of the four slots (I want both these animals so this wouldn't make me sad exactly, but gosh do we need birds and monkeys)

I think a baboon and two or three new world primates are plausible to come still.

I wouldn’t put it past frontier to do a whole primate pack. Imagine the memes and puns for marketing.

“Monkey business” “return to monke” stuff like that

Those can't be kept in Zoos though. Otherwise a good Pack. Missing a Spider Monkey though😃

Bald uakari and golden-snub nosed monkey are totally absent from at least North America and Europe. But sure, replace the indri with a sifaka and the uakari with a saki and that's good enough for me.
Didn't know that Uakaris are that rare in Zoos (if even in any Zoos at all). Your Replacements sound good. I'd love to get Sifakas in the Game

I mean, Golden Snub nosed sounds like is it/has been in Japan/South Korean/Singapore zoos and Uakiris seem be in LA? Dunno, I'm just a visually interesting species kinda person lol
Golden Snub nosed Monkeys also seem to be (common?) in chinese Zoos and were also kept outside of Asia in the Past (I wonder why they've stopped)

Also regarding Lemurs: how about a Species of Bamboo Lemur?

I would be more interested in Gelada probably
Still hoping for this one to make it into the Game in Case that we'll get a Mountain Pack at some Point. Would still want a Baboon too though

Tamarins, while I would prefer them as a Habitat animals, I would give pass for Exhibit, but a hard NO from me regarding Saki being exhibit. If Capuchins are habitat, there is no reason why Sakis would not.
Absolutely agree with this

Technically you can have them together, since you can make WEs null. I built a tropical house that had "free-flying" bats and Aldabra giant tortoises. The tortoises wandered in and out of the WEs
Thanks for the Clarification. Just wanted to ask if it isn't possible to combine them. Hope though this also works with Exhibit Walls up (Habitat Animals entering and leaving through the Guest Entrances)

Personally I would prefer a crested black macaque as it would complement the babirusa
I know that's Off-Topic but: A Species of Anoa would also be great

return to monke
lol

WE: Parrots/Macaws
I need them😍🦜🦜

Give one a pair of red boots and the memes would be insane
🤔?

In my pack predictions for the coming year, I can see us getting three new primates:

Drylands Animal Pack (Summer)
- Hamadryas Baboon - An unmistakeable animal that’s becoming more and more common in zoos, as well as being highly requested by the community.

Woodlands Animal Pack (Autumn)
- Black Howler Monkey - A large New World monkey with sexual dimorphism and that can utilise the chorus feature.

Mountains Pack (Winter)
- Gelada - Again, another distinct looking primate that’s becoming more and more common in zoos, that can live in large troops and is largely terrestrial.

I feel like the Hamadryas Baboon, Howler Monkey and Gelada are our top three most needed primates, with Mantled Guerezas, Tamarins and Spider Monkeys hot on their heels. I reckon if we’re lucky, we’ll see a primate in each pack from here on in, and those three are likely to be the ones I’ve picked. Honestly, I’d be happy with that.

So I wouldn’t give up on primates just yet! I’m sure we’ll get at least a few more.

Guereza would also work in a Highlands pack, they live at quite high altitudes and could give such a pack some tropical representation aside from the usual picks like spectacled bear.
I’d definitely be down - the Gelada is my most wanted primate, and definitely represents ‘Highlands’ the best so if we only got one primate slot I’d take that. But if there were two primate slots, I’d love to see the Guereza or Barbary Macaque in a pack like this!

My most wanted monkeys are definitely the Hamadryas baboon, squirrel monkey, and Geoffroy's spider monkey. If we just got those three I'd be pretty happy. Bonus monkeys include the cotton-top tamarin, golden lion tamarin, Diana monkey, lion-tailed macaque, and tufted capuchin.

As for other primates, I've had my fill of gibbons. The siamang was the only one I wanted, and we got it. I don't want either of the other two orangutan species and AFAIK there no other gorillas in captivity aside of the western lowland, so the great apes are done. I'm not bothered about a sifaka or the aye-aye or any of the other prosimians.

These are more or less also the Monkeys I would Like to see. I would add to my list the Black Howler Monkey as its voices would bring a Lot of Zoo vibes in my opinion. And the Gelada which Perhaps looks similar to the Hamadryas Baboon but in the other hand they still feel very different in my opinion.

From going reading everyone's thoughts over the past few months I've kinda worked what I think people want most from monkeys. Most popular choice in brackets

essential
baboon (hamadryas)
Howler monkey
Spider monkey
Tamarin (if possible)
Mainland Asian monkey (lion Tailed macaque)

other important species
white faced saki
Squirrel monkey (bolivian)
Guenon (Mantled guereza)
Asian mountain monkey (Golden snub nosed)
Langur (francois)
Barbary macaque
Wetland monkey (de brazzas)

Guereza's are colobus not guenons. De Brazza's is a guenon though.

Id say that an african monkey besides the baboon is also essential.
Ideally we should have like 3 more monkeys for asia and africa each, 6 for SA and a baboon, but i feel thats not gonna happen. What i would say is essential is:
1 baboon
1 african monkey
1 asian monkey
2-3 SA monkeys
Im not set on any particular species, ofcourse i have favorites but id be happy with most species as long as those slots are filled.
