Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

nah. if you try and dump of stuff all at once in one location you can only drop like 10 or 15 things before they start disappearing. i've tried.

not sure how the trash cans are full. maybe they only hold 10 things. maybe they dont get cleaned up if players arent doing it all at once.
For what I understand, it depends also how much entities you have around you. If the area is cluttered, less important entities are removed first.

The one with players derelicts and players corpses that can be found in the wild and you can explore/loot ?
Because how PES handle bottles is not the main function of PES.

How many bodies make a clutter? Just curious.

And maybe teasing a little bit... ;)

What IS the purpose of PES?

For science, I decided to ask google. This was the first result.

What is Persistent Entity Streaming?

Persistent Entity Streaming is a new technology in games development that allows everything from player's items to destroyed ships to continue existing in the universe when players leave the area. This curation of this tech is being spearheaded by Cloud Imperium Games as Star Citizen will be the first game to feature this fully completed version of persistence.
Ha ha ha.

I see plenty of comments like this. Yet no statement from Chris Roberts.

The new streamer meta is getting others to pull ships for them (when they can't). Berks spent an hour trying himself before giving up.
I thought the meta was gasping "What the coitus!" every 5 minutes because they're genuinely shocked that the game has bugged out or killed them since the last 5 minutes.

So much wrongs in this statement:
  • it's not AAA, but AAAA
  • it's not 1 but 2 in the making
  • it's alpha, so should have said thousands, or even hundreds of thousands Privateers

This guy clearly knows nothing about development.
