Salland's Adventure Zoo

Some people really dislike the idear of more domestics while other people argue that they are not only common but an important part of a zoo simulator
Personally, if you don't like that update, you don't buy it. But then you give other people the pleasure of working with these animals.

I admit I didn't buy a DLC either, because I don't need it right now anyway.

The facade cladding I provided with wood. As a result, the high stone wall does not become so boring. This is also often seen in stables in certain regions of the Netherlands. The reason for this cladding is not entirely clear. One says to protect the wall from the elements and the other says it was to show how much wealth the farmers had back then.

This is the last step on the outside of the stable. At the moment it still looks too new, but at a later time I will try to weather it.

The top of the roof has been given an opening, which was previously intended for natural ventilation of the room.

The stable has now been given a second floor, normally the second floor is placed over the entire part of the stable. But to make it look a bit more open, they removed part of it during the rearrangement of the stable. This also makes the trusses easier to see.

The stable is now more decorated with extra small details. For the 2nd floor I placed some clutter, so that it doesn't look empty. At a later moment I will place some more objects from the new DLC.

The Llamas are the first animals to arrive at the petting zoo. The four Llamas are all mares.

Whoop whoop first habitat animals are here
Also wow, absolutly stunning build, i love all the little details!
Yes, it took a very long time for animals to arrive. I was actually hoping for a farm pack. Unfortunately we didn't get it.

Thank you. The small details complete the building even though I would like to add a few details to the outside.

The next animal on the petting zoo is the Indian peafowl. The peafowl group consists of one male (peacock) and two females (peahens).

I made a night enclosure for the peafowl, in which they can retreat during the night and rain. The rest of the day they can freely walk around the petting zoo.

I made an outdoor enclosure for the rabbits. The rabbits are brought to this at a certain time of the day, so that they can walk around outside. Visitors can also pet the rabbits here. There is also a pigeon loft.

In this map update I use the new Tropical DLC pieces and foliage. For me, this update is not a very big update for my map. That's why I decided to change the foliage in the hotel. And I have made a number of cargo bikes.

The European Fallow Deer will be the last animal for the petting zoo. Even though the deer are part of the petting zoo. Visitors can't reach the deer in the enclosure, because according to some authorities deer can be dangerous to humans. That is why they have been given their own piece of land called “Hertenkamp”.

This year a new law was approved, where deer may no longer be kept on a petting zoo or in a “hertenkamp”.

I don't know if you're Dutch of if you've done your research incredibly well, but this is really impressive. I'm personally quite disappointed about the new law on hertenkampen, but it makes me the more happy to see you build one.

Thank you. I am indeed from the Netherlands, but I still have to search for information. Yes I have the new law
I never understood and I don't think I ever will.

The petting zoo has now received its final fencing. The deer have been given a simple wire mesh fence and the Llama a wooden fence. The wooden fencing makes it more difficult for the animals to escape and people can still look at the animals from the outside. Through an airlock fence, people can walk between the Llamas and peafowls.

The one to last step is to place Enrichment Items, such as food and water bowls, but also toys for the animals. Unfortunately, the game doesn't have different types of feeders and water bowls, so I made these myself.

A few more details have also been placed.
