Loot doesn't neccessarily need to drop from kills. The "looter" part is you hunt for loot. Be it chests, drops, quest outcomes etc.Out of morbid curiosity, what is your definition of a “looter shooter?”
The one I’m familiar with is a game with this basic game loop:
*or stuff that can be used to acquire equipment
- Kill a mob.
- Mob drops equipment*.
- If equipment* is better than what you have currently, equip it.
- Go back to 1.
It’s possible that I may have missed something obvious, because I primarily play EDO as a stealth game, but to the best of my knowledge, we can’t loot the NPCs we kill.
