Ok so a request for the thread
I'm sketching out a vid on features that have been removed from the PU etc. Have I missed any big ones?
Currently I've got stuff like:
- Repair Drones / CryAstro
- AI traffic (Lorville)
- Landing HUD
- Personal hangars / VR support
- Scramble Races
- The Tessa Bannister missions
- Hover Mode (twice)
I'm not really counting features that are so broken they might as well not be there. Or planned removals like the Delamar planetoid.
There are definitely some grey areas though. Like, do NPC video comms just not work, or have they been switched off completely?![]()
Yeah, you have. At least as big as hover mode.
Getting my Crystal Ball out:
Making ships faster and slower is normal iteration. Lando said so!

I'd have just spun the ship around and landed on one of the free landing pads outside, although it was always going to end up as a disaster the way he just dumped the ship onto the deck the way he did anyways...it's not like there wasn't plenty of room, even with the Vanguard being thereWhat I don't understand is how he has so much experience playing SC but still chooses to risk doing something like that.
Nice one! (Guy on YT mentioned that arriving with SPK but couldn't track it down. Ta)
how about having my ship status and target ship status in the visor so i dont have to look at dinky mfds during combat? there are more

I'm kinda thinking mainly of stuff that was live, functional, and is currently completely absent.
Yeah there's a lot of stuff that kinda falls into QoL tinkering that I'm shying away from. (Like that core feature is still supported via MFD there, even if it's clearly worse on balance).
I'm kinda thinking mainly of stuff that was live, functional, and is currently completely absent. (I'm gonna cover stuff that may be better off gone, like say the landing splines. But also stuff that was claimed to be a stepping stone to greater things, like AI traffic to ports etc).
hover mode was an anti quality of life feature and not really a core feature. ship status in visor was much more of a core feature to me because of what i'd normally do in game.
same with fps radar being a core feature.
