Elite Dangerous Update 15 NOW LIVE - Release Notes

I have heard of first world problems but ditching a game because your controller doesn't vibrate is right up there...
Ironically I used to turn vibrate OFF on some games I played on PS4 because it messed with my precision aiming!

I can't remember if my controller vibrates on PC or not. I do know it doesn't support gyroscopic headlook, which is a real bummer, and I sure do wish it did, but for the many times I've shelved Elite over the years, this was never a reason.

idk if this works for elite, but you can use steam input to get gyroscopic aiming working with a PS4 controller in most games

The best feature of this update (for keyboard+mouse users) wasn't in the patch notes.

Sorry, what does this do?

Relative mouse mode makes the mouse act more like a joystick - when you're not actively moving it, it recentres itself (and the ship straightens out).
Unfortunately once you turned it on it was ALWAYS on - whether you were in normal space, supercruise, FA on or off. This made flying in supercruise particularly annoying, doing a loop required constant scrolling and repositioning the mouse.
But now we finally have a toggle to turn it on and off as needed.

I don't think you're seeing the larger point that I'm trying to communicate. When games stop being profitable the servers are retired and the game dies. I'm not seeing interest from my friends and Frontier might want to know why. It's in all our best interests to offer feedback to Frontier to help keep the game viable and therefore online.
What point exactly are you making? Other than that you successfully attached the word "grind" to everything in the game you don't like. Not everything in the game that presents a modicum of resistance to being instantly completed is a "grind". Some of it is just learning where to look for stuff or how to use a tool that looks for you.

If you can wait eight hours until I get home from work and you are in or near the bubble, I can come and pick you up.

Free of charge even!
I used the stuck recovery option... and it put me through the rebuy screen, forcing me to lose my 50m powerplay salary. I may as well have used a grenade.

In other news, guardian obelisks still aren't fixed / show the same scrambled pattern instead of their required items:

I'm pretty sure I've hooked up my old Xbox 360 controller to play Elite way back - though I run a hotas now, and highly recommend it. I'm sure there are some who are playing with Xbox controllers as their main controller on PC?
I can confirm, Odyssey on PC is barely playable with Xbox controller. It is simply not tested with new UI changes. If someone wish to check - try first using Galaxy Map with default controller scheme.

What sort of issues are you getting? I use a DS4 controller & Geforce Now to play Odyssey, in the Galaxy Map there was a bug in the "My Fleet" list which I reported to Sally on release day, but I hadn't noticed any other problems navigating around (yet). I'm launching through Steam with some custom button tweaks in Elite's own options screen.
