I repeat, it will not be the same database. A lot of components/flows/systems can be shared but a significant percentage of the system will differ. Having a version of PES in SQ42 doesn't mean that the DB of SQ42 is the same as the DB of SC.

Sure. SQ42 will have to significantly alter this system, because it's been tailored for Chris's 'Server Meshing' online dreams. They don't need the game state to be abstracted from the physics, probably didn't need the new graph database format, and will need to realign a bunch of stuff for offline play.

[Server-Side Object Container Streaming] is actually very important to S42 as in single player the client is effectively a server. The previous client only OCS implementation didn't help single player game modes as that relied on having a server around that maintained state and would replicate net binding changes to clients but in the single player case we need the full SOCS implementation to get the streaming benefits.

As SQ42 is a single-player-only experience, the team can determine what they want to be loaded at particular points in the game. So, they began adding more fine-grained control over what object containers stream in, and looked into overriding the systemic entity streaming system.

I just find it funny that it speaks against your original position:

Have you noticed almost all problems af SC (that you refer to judge SQ42) are server related ? And that SQ42 will not have server's problems ?

In the wonderful world of SC, even the single player game has managed to have server problems ;)

Yay, adding it to the list 😁

You just don't understand Doublespeak development.
The more comparable thing in ED is the ship and parts transfer timer between stations. It was very popular on the forums. In fact I'd bet a bunch of you were in favor of them.
I was all for it. But I was expecting actual simulation of the travel time, seeing Acme (Apex) ships moving around and docking, and being able to take those missions myself to move stuff for players. An arbitrary timer is what I should have expected from the guy that gave us fantasy engineering, CQC and Powerpants though.

It's a financial analysis software with 800 fields in DB and millions records. What I've shown is a tiny part of the structure.\
"Millions of records" with "hundreds of attributes" is what you can process and analyse on a single PC. Again, can be a source of very valuable insights, but it is not much to speak of in terms of complexity.
A lot of words to say the same thing I said. Nobody with a minimum tech knowledge will say that SQ42 will use the same DB system than SC.
I fully expect them to do exactly that, then.
So you just said the same thing than me, SC performances can't be used to estimate in advance SQ42 performances.
This is why I am estimating it by their ability to deliver a game installer. Or the game, for that matter. I hope those Vanduul warriors have their combat moves finally figured out, otherwise Mark Hamill will whoop their buttocks.

And ? Real time programming or not, it's just basic logic to understand that you switch off all unnecessary services from a multi software when you make a solo version of it. And that saying SQ42 will not run well because the servers of SC don't run well is just plainly stupid.
Taking out the multiplayer systems out of a game doesn't turn it into a SP game.

Usually games that are both singleplayer and client-server multiplayer run a local copy of the server for one player when in "singleplayer". It's rare to find a game with a completely bespoke singleplayer version like O.G. Minecraft.

I wasn't on the forums when ship / module timers were added (I think), so not sure I would have voted for it. I think they're ok - you always have a ship so you do have options. if they were instant - wouldn't bother me.
The vote ended in September 2016 - I voted for instantaneous, because this is a game I want to play not I game I want to wait for 😁

I still think instantaneous should be a (very) expensive option - hand-wave it away with the same 3D printing SLF technology we have now - pay lots to get an exact replica of the ship you want (and your existing ship is broken up for parts so you don’t get a dupe) or pay lots less and wait for your existing ship to be flown to you.
