Bring MODS to Consoles (XBOX/PlayStation)

waiting for a DLC is frustrating because especially when the DLC is revealed and you still haven’t got the items you need to build the park the way you want.

PC has the ability to introduce MODs and it frustrates me as a Console gamer that I can not get access to some of these really well made mods.

I don’t understand why they can’t be made available for the console platform.

Especially when Bethesda has put mods on Fallout and Skyrim with ease on the console. Even the Sims which is a world builder game has player mode. So using the idea of how Bethesda does it. Would Frontieer Games do something along those lines. I made a mock up below.

On how mods would work. Say you have a limit of 30 mods downloaded at any one time that way it keeps the game overloaded. Also the mods uploaded are vetted by the Frontieer staff meaning - it’s a play at your own risk but Frontieer has full authority on what is uploaded. As the individual customers can not just submit a mod they created in consoles as could cause problems so having a vetting team would be good. Could have staff favourite picks on mods and best voted as the top two interests but as you scroll down you get into categories like dinosaurs, fences, paths, attractions, guest etc

fyi I didn’t create the mods in the image below I just took a few from online at was popular to help display how I view a mod system would work on console. And further more this wouldn’t effect any future dlc as dlc is considered official so even if you do bring out a dlc in the future that someone has already done a mod of the sales dynamics has shown that dlcs wins over mods and has no effect. I used to work in sales for video game dlcs. But introducing Mods would increase the longevity of the game even if you stopped producing dlcs

It's obvious that they don't allow new species mods, and as I already mentioned in the post above, it's probably about the fear of losing money.

Nevertheless, it would be nice if you would at least allow decorative items, for planet zoo you at least allow blueprints in the steam workshop...

It can't really be a bad thing to allow a bar bench or trash can instead of waiting who knows how long for something like this from the developers, which a talented modder would probably only need a few hours for...

Frontier even have these items on the amenities in the game! All they'd need to do is make them a decorative item... xD
Why they aren't already an available item is beyond comprehension...

As a console player... I don't get how easily moders add things or make the changes we'd like to see in this game.... and then, even though I greatly appreciate all the support Frontier gives the game, they pass or don't add a lot of simple things we'd like.

As an actual player of the game.. I'd pay WAY MORE for fences, paths, gates, buildings, etc.. then I would for a Dino pack. And it'd be ALOT easier for non dinosaurs additions to the game so I just don't get it. Corporate just doesn't get it.

Also let me reiterate what I've asked for since JWE1: we need a Moves/Animations pack!!! Forget giving us a new Dino with the same 4 animations other dinosaurs have.. skip a new Dino model, just create new animations for existing dinosaurs already in the game.

I find that hard to believe... mod animals are cool, but they're still not of the same quality as the official stuff.
Not the same quality but it's still a hinder on profits for the developers. Besides we need more building content packs than new Dino species. The Park side of the game has gotten quite stale due to the same amenity/building designs, decor items, paths, pylons etc. We have enough dinosaurs for now, now we NEED more Park items...!

I can't do that. there are a few species that are extremely well done. For example, check out the latest Ultimasaurus. Its quality surpasses that of most dinos made by Frontier.
Compare this to a standard Parasaurolophus. For example, because the textures of this vanilla dino are extremely squishy

I've seen it... yes, it looks cool, but in the end it's still just an Indominus with a new model...
frontier does exactly that. all hadrosaurs, all stegosaurs and all ankylosaurs of a similar size also all have the same animations and are nothing more than skins.

Frontier release dinosaur packs, most of which are just copy-paste. And if something else comes up, like the therizinosaurus, for example, it only gets 1 new fight animation originally.
Or look at jeholopterus. He didn't even get an animation for drinking, let alone can he attack anything or be attacked.

The history of modding Planet Zoo and the community around it is intertwined with the history of zoo and dinosaur simulation modding. To celebrate the anniversary of new species mods, this video explores the chronology of the modding scene's members, their exploits in previous titles, their advancements in breaking open Frontier Development's COBRA engine, and their resultant work to lead us now into the current modding situation with Planet Zoo. Thing they could do to allow mods is not taking base dinosaurs model. Not allowed to make movie or novel based dinosaurs and finally dont allow to add copyright dinosaurs from other franchise (similaire to how path of titan does it)
Dinosaurs that are planned to release modders are not allowed to release them when the official annonce and release( after month or two they can do it)

Here my take what they could accepte

Small groep of modder not everyone is allowed
They can add mechanic or change some
(They can add baby dinosaurs for example)
Making new dinosaurs
Making new trees. Texture. Assets for both environnement and building such as restaurants.
Making new building
Making new maps

Regarding mods in Jurassic World: Evolution 1 & 2, I do not recommend.

The PC version of Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis can be modded into having access to all in-game dig sites enabling all the game's dinosaur species can be used and to extend the dinosaurs' lifespan. The film-canon mod have to be downloaded so that some of the dinosaurs can appear more like the films' counterparts, some of the game's original music have been replaced by some in the films. I myself have replaced a soundtrack with an extract of "Brachiosaurus on the Bank" so that it can be played when the Brachiosaurus is first released into the park.
