What, no steam loco's?
Railoroad Tycoon was still best railsim. 2D was the superior choice for scaling. 3D meant long travel time on one leg - sim time on the other hand was compressed, so your roundtrip often takes a game year. What, no steam loco's?
Hold on, but you were renting a ship from free fly, something that wouldn't normally be available?
I was messing around with ChatGPT some while back and I got it to provide dialog of mulitple NPC characters to narrate and provide semi-realtime dialog to a hypothetical scenario of reactivating a settlement with an NPC security pilot keeping me updated on incoming scavs and also communicating with the base computer to set the security defenses to not target me after hitting one by accident whilst engaging the onfoot scavs that dropped in. Eventually with another security pilot being called and both engaging with pirate ships to provide cover for my escape. It wasn't plain sailing and I had to modify some requests but the potential was abundantly clear for an AI trained to imitate any particular type of NPC with randomized characteristics to fundamentally change player/npc interactions - to the point that if you were being interdicted you would have to check to see CMDR next to their name to know whether it was an NPC or a real person. No more canned 'all that tasty cargo' or 'suprirsed you made it this far', etc.. that all games have had to rely on.Whoa, is NVIDIA trolling here? (no, they are not, but still impressive)

I want to say that the tactics employed by the Thargoids in the current war are semi-based on an AI seed, and some interdictions definitely take on some characteristics of griefing already!will be all fun and games until the AI figures out being a griefer is the most fun.
Is that the Leed‘s defence practicing for next year?
Sorry !

There are way more people than you seem to believe who will impulse-buy a game at 3AM after watching some trailer while drunk.
Yes I think you should. You don't seem to have understood a single word that's been said to you. Impressive!
These words, for example, directly addressed your argument and provided a basis for discussion:
But instead you prefer to run around various loops of your own invention.
Not sure what you think such transparent trolling is achieving, but have fun running in circles I guess. ¯\(ツ)/¯
Nice, I'll try that out. Wonder if it'll work with armour too? A bit of investigative surgery I reckon...Interesting.... you can make guns bought with real money a part of the ships loadout, so if you store them in the gun racks that's where they now live, even if you claim the ship.

Played all afternoon on one of the alts and no super big issues. One 30k. Although I was mostly trading and other mindless stuff.
Played the account a week or to ago and did the new user tutorial and thats it. Played it today and rented ships from the free fly thing.
This account has never flown a ship that is on the account.
And it has a million and a half after a few hours. Maybe 4 or 5 distracted hours. Ate something, watched the basketball playoffs etc.
We have had this conversation before, but if you know what you are doing you would never need to fly a starter ship. Could by a Cutlass Black in game right now if I wanted (and I might).

This is why I like hearing from you and @Mole HD ... I don't feel like I'm talking to some "community manager's" alt.
Though I do question your definition of "super big issues" if a 30k isn't considered one...![]()
I can sense another hurried rewrite of Ci~G's EULA and TOS appearing on the horizon soon-ishSo another possible explanation for SQ42's store disappearance?:
Alongside the new EU directives Stu mentioned, the UK is also looking to tighten up a raft of consumer protection laws.
The CMA finally being able to assert existing law via fines (up to 10% of global turnover [pdf]) might have raised an Ortwin eyebrow or two ¯\(ツ)/¯
It's not due to bite until around Oct. But hey, SQ42 ain't due anytime soon either![]()
If I understand it correctly, cloud gaming and smart NPCs are the future where games become more alive.
Squadron 42 is the best game ever.
I don't see the issue.
