Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

The pledge tracker is a completely non audited figure, we dont really know what goes into it and what does not. It is fully under the control of CIG. They can show whatever they want. Do we really think that if SC sales were dropping significantly CIG would voluntarily and merrily show it in the tracker?
Please, please reassure me that the SC fund tracker is fake and that the game is going to go down in flames... It's too buggy and not fun, no one can really give money to this trash, it's a lie !

No need, CIG own curated information has of course always been deadly accurate, and you are also totally right that SQ42 is releasing imminently at a higher price that ll be totally worth it, not broken and fun. Seeing it compete toe to toe with Star Field is going to be something to behold!

A part of me really wants SQ42 to release in September just to have a real comparison.

Shame we know release of SQ42 is still 2 years away.

Man, I think I can actually hear Chris and co’s brain cogwheels squeakily complaining while they seat around the Situation Room thinking how they can one up SF…
How about....a free fly and a ship sale?? Other than that, they should stick to not doing anything, since the peoples seem to "pledge" more money...why mess with that cash cow?
I saw the Starfield thing today, and while I was enjoying it all, I could see if CIg did the same thing, the possibility that it could look dull and crappy in comparison, or just turn me off as they show more. And though I enjoyed what they showed, obviously there are those who see the same thing, and it's not their cup of tea.

Wait for some to discover that you can't freely fly in atmosphere with your ship in SF or you can't EVA outside of ships or that you have a loading screen from the ship's ramp to the habs part...
SF will be an excellent game but it will be different of SQ42. The ship's flying part will be very weak

There has always been news on salvage or the new renderer too !
And now they are in, words are not so cheap...
CitizenCon 2016...

...now... (7 years later, in a game that is still in Alpha)
...the words are not so cheap... (at all)

Oh yes, so many words...

Would you say the Reclaimer is worth its $400 now? Or would that be when its grinding arms works? Or its salvage drones? (Or when its lifts don't trap and kill people? ;))

Or should I just buy the $575 Orion? As it's bound to be better when it arrives :)

(PS I thought Vulkan was coming in 2021? It seems some forum words are not cheap, just devalued ;))
