Animal News

Why are we trusting some random guy that claims to work in that park? Do you we know if he even actually works there for real?

If it is an expansion i don't think it means more life to PZ, quite the opposite, might be the last DLC of all. But i'll be very VERY happy if this turns out to be true. Don't want to get my hopes up. Is not the first time trolls and false rumors about birds coming to the game have pop up.

I work at a networking distributor and I can tell you a popular UK-based video game developer is coming here to observe the feral rabbits on our land. Trust me, I'm being super serious!
Someone from a Video Game Company is coming to visit. Guys, we're getting Cockatiels in the Game 😆🙃

It's fake, don't always believe what you read on the internet besties <3

Just so you give it a bit of critical thinking, the post is breaching the NDA by being so overly specific (like really why would they say "it's in the UK and it's specifically doing a zoo simulation game", like the only thing missing is they outright mention Frontier lol) they obviously want to make you think of Frontier and Planet Zoo. Also the user joined the forum just to make that post (they joined on the very same day the post was made) which is another major red flag.

Either way don't get your hopes down yet, I'm sure birds will be coming eventually (the secretary bird missing in the arid pack is incredibly suspicious), you just have to be patient :)

Ya.
What is so suspicious in being outcompeted by frontier-approved mammal groups. Baboon and secretary bird died together, because part of budget intended for this pack went into cat ☠️

I had this "Frontier is collaborating with XY zoo to add flying birds!" in my PM box shortly before the aquatic pack came out. The autho of that message later became a troll who keeps making fake account on the forum, on YouTube etc. to harrass others and keep posting stuff exactly like that stuff posted on ZooChat.
Now, I know some bird fans don't want to give up hope and don't watnt to believe me, so keep your hope for a bird pack all you want, but regarding this information, ask yourself one question:
Why would an UK based company collaborate with a bird zoo that far away, in a very different time zone, with no way to fly their staff in or do so at very expensive costs, when they can collaborate with zoos much closer, be it a pure bird park or not? And why WOULD Frontier even need a pure bird park? I bet Chester Zoo, with whom they usually collaborate, has birds, right?
Collaborating with Singapore wouldn't be practical, logical or cost effective.

Yeah on balance I now think it is probably fake as well - lots of good reasoning mentioned above. I guess I just got a bit over-excited when I first saw it.

@HeatherG do you think I should delete the original post I made on the subject, just so people don't continue to think this is at all real? I wouldn't want anyone to be tricked like I was.

Not Heather, but if you delete it it will take 3 hours until someone else falls for it and repost it and we will have this discussion again.

It's literally the second most requested animal after the Tassie now, how is it surprising people expect it bruh
Plenary of people have been “100% sure” we were getting the devil in all of the last 4-5 DLC… expecting anything just because it’s high on the wishlists is just setting yourself up for disappointment.

Um what? No?

We have been consistently getting top animals on the wishlist for all the last DLCs... How are you even saying that expecting them is "setting up for disappointment" when it's clearly not the case 🙃 really wack reasoning here, if any at all

Like okay we haven't got the Tassie yet... So what? We got the porcupine, which was 2nd, being the highest on the list doesn't mean the next dlc is going to have it lol it just means at some point we are going to get it

It's a mix of both, honestly. We've had plenty of proof that highly requested animals, such as the porcupine and the red river hog and the emu, make it into DLCs eventually.
However, @ElectricMonk is correct in saying that some people were "100% confident" that a certain species would arrive in the next DLC, when it hasn't always been the case

The difference is between expecting (for instance) that the next DLC will contain one of the top 10 wish listed animals (reasonable) and expecting a specific top 10 animal (not reasonable).

Look at the secretary bird. Or not. Because we don't have it.

And taking together all the votes for Common, Indian and Cape Porcupine the classical Old World Porcupine even has 293 votes which means 6 votes more than the Tasmanian Devil. But I am sure the Devil will come. The Secretary Bird stays unsure in my opinion. I have that feeling that Frontier has something in mind with birds either for an own DLC, bigger expansion or the worst case a PZ 2.
