Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

The frontal and direct contradiction in the 2 main elements in those statements, both coming from CIG, is uncanny. You can’t make this up. This is the company people have trusted with 600 millions.
If you wish to scam people make contradictory statements whenever possible. The gullible will always stick to the right one to defend their investment. The wrong one is just there to confuse critics.

Wouldn’t you be able to fish a link for that? Would be hilarious if true.
I think it never was official, but the narrative of SC Defense Force to justify the importance of the absolutely-not-cancelled game mode, probably based on this statement
How has ToW helped balance the game as a whole?
It has been incredibly helpful. Previously the main opportunity for mixed arms gameplay has been in PU encounters, which could be quite uncommon due to its size. Having a game mode where you're immediately in a focused combat scenario, where FPS, ground vehicles and ships are all interacting has given us opportunity to see how everything interacts.

Requires time dilation for the longer travels. Unless you have magic jumpistan drive. Many have normal thruster and then 'jump' drives.
The point is that it neednt have any sense of reality - you just design a mechanic that makes sense in the context of the game.
Time dilation does not work that way. Problem is multiplayer. In single player game you can accelerate game time, and no problem but for multiplayer everyone needs same time.

I know. Time dilation is impossible in MP. I meant that if you only use linear acceleration like in Newtonian you're gonna need to speed up time or insert another drive for large distance. Time dilation in MP is ruled out so we got super speed for in game system travel (Quantum drive, Supercruise) and jump drives for interstellar travel. We don't know how SC would handle it, but sensibly it'd be some kind of jump. And a loading screen.

High quality game:

How it ended:

Someone suggests to exit and relog at the first clip bug... Mike answers:

"Where will I end up? Where is my ship? Where are the boxes if I exit and relog? Do I get back in the same server?"

Persistence that matters is A-OK!

He didn´t ask if garbage bins can be overflooded with used cans though. Loser.
