Mine does this right before a server reboot, I have to kill the ED executable in task manager every single Thursday.

I get this often if I quit to main menu & then soon out after that to desktop - it seems more likely to happen if the Arx earned info is still displayed, so seems like a server process is hanging or something… yep, EDO still running CPU cycles 10-15% even when I force it to quit from the task manager.

For some reason, my gane won't close properly. I have to keep using task manager. It's been like this for a couple of days - anyone else?
Holy zero-G pole dancing Batman!

My gane hangs on a black screen perhaps a couple of times a week lately, and does not exit. Perhaps half the time, it hangs a little bit obnoxiously long on the black screen then closes ok.

That's a 0.04G pole squat, for the record.

I think I have found some settings that are bearable and run smoothly.

Who would have thought that Oddyssey runs on a system that is deemed insufficient...

I love those knee cap doodads

I actually ponied a chunk of my ARX up for Penny to buy a couple of pairs of space britches recently

Lovely! On my way, Co[M]issioner Gordon!

I guess I could get my own copper colored signal with a bust of Abe Lincoln so I know whether it's a bat-signal or a penny-signal, and wear the right gitup.

Now I just nearly choked out in my helmet horsing around up there in the external camera. And I am thankful for the Apex shuttle's life support system

I've never seen anyone explicitly talk about it, but it's quite possible to play the game without owning anything but a starter Sidewinder. I confess I haven't checked whether one can dispose of it.

One could, I think, actually get the classic triple elite without ever flying one's own ship through physical and virtual multicrew and trade dividends, although trade elite might take a long time.

The good news is the starter Sidewinder is the only ship you won’t lose money on when you sell it, the bad news is you will get what you paid for it.

Well, I restarted a month ago. After the Odyssey intro there was no ship - I think I did a few missions then went down to Inter Astra to sign the papers.

And I am so bigtime now that I own a Vulture - ..yet, for ease of impound and shipping mostly, I end up using my trusty Sidewinder at least as much still

It's a good ship, mate!

HISS!

That's good to know. I have an alt with Odyssey, but frankly their ships are both fewer and better engineered as, naturally, I had the benefit of experience when outfitting. It would hurt more to reset that one than my primary toon.

The Vulture is a pretty flexible ship, especially with Aisling's prismatic shields - drop a prismatic shield generator into a class 4 slot and fit a class 5 scoop or Guardian FSD booster. Suddenly it's a competent exploration vessel.

The coat stand is on the left on your way out.

My new CMDR Penny can use this EDSM data, to go relive some of grandpa rupee's tales of exploration. Like a treasure map

And in the new data the past month, Penny was mostly cycling between three areas that stand out neatly in those bunches of lines. Before, those familiar haunts were some imaginary blobs, in my mind. But now, they are real nests of actual lines!

Yeah my old fleet, was feeling a little cumbersome sometimes. A lot of the ships were in various states of work in progress and experimentation etc. Setting up the new one made a neat mental bridge kind of to a few years ago and the first go round
