Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

I will refer you to this post, made by a fellow who did no murders whatsoever.

So it can be done.

I myself mostly avoided the murderhobo routine, preferring to do missions (which I think are a ton of fun). I'm not as squeaky clean as that guy, though :)
Thanks I've booked marked this for future reference 😀

What about targeting and destroying an escape pod after I destroy a ship? I get so friggen mad at those pirates, I can't help myself, it's rather gratifying in a special way. If they weren't so ruthless, I'm sure I wouldn't do it.
I wouldn’t do it myself partly due to not knowing who is actually in the pod and also memories of accidentally scooping escape pods in the original game and going from innocent destroyer of pirates to wanted slaver as soon as the pod or its contents ended up as cargo.

Also people will pay money for occupied escape pods deliberately destroying money is rarely a good habit to get into.

Yes but how am I going to teach them a lesson? Actually, I only did it one time, didn't make me feel better so I just leave them for now.

Turn them in at the next SAR.
If they are innocent "passengers" of that pirate, you have freed someone from slavery.
If it is the pirate, they will be sent to the next jail.
And you get the money.
I should move over to the Los system and give them to Dorn like you said. There's only one tiny station in that system and the hazardous extraction site is in an icy ring, I'll have to wear sunglasses during combat, too bright.

I'd love to write about Timber's adventures, but my brain is too tired after last night.
Woke up around 2:30, couldn't sleep. Started as session as it had cooled down a bit.
After some time, a thunderstorn came rolling in while I was trying to find a spot to land on a planet that seemed to have been formed after a tinfoil ball. My session got cut short by a lightning strike into some part of the power supply system - at first, I thought I could still make it, as my computer as well as our router both are connected to a UPS, but alas, the power outage also hit the IP systems, which obviously didn't have any sort of UPS...

Strangely using night vision can cut down the glare, better yet use the night vision but only visit the sight while it is in the planets shadow*, better yet as you can deliver escape pods from anywhere pick them up from where you like best.

If you want to add to the fun fight in the shadow but don’t use anything better than the ships headlights and find out whether the farce* is with you.

**No spelling mistakes here.

Power has been back on quite quickly. And my laptop is fine, too.
And the UPS took it like a champ. I had bought these for just that reason: to protect my computer from these power outages.
They had killed my PC twice in fairly short succession, despite them being attatched to an extension block with a fuse. Fuses might protect your stuff from direct strikes of lightning, but not from those power surges that come with an outage.
