What 2 of these 8 themes would you want?

The range of answers here is very cool! It's neat to see the various priorites here. I think the Avian pack is the frontrunner so far but not by much. Seems like a close to even amount of all the packs except a finale pack, which is kind of ambiguous anyways.

Fall 2023
Highlands Pack (the weather is cooling down and the snows are coming on the peaks).
  • Sichuan Takin (Dall Sheep or Alpine Ibex)
  • Rock Hyrax (brand new)
  • Coyote (wolf)
  • Pallas' Cat (Sand Cat)
  • Birds of Alpine areas
Anniversary 2023: Bat-eared Fox (based off Red Fox or Fennec Fox)
Christmas 2023
Islands Animal Pack (escape the winter in Paradise)
  • Tassie (brand new)
  • Walrus (seal or sea lion)
  • Japanese Serow (Alpine Ibex)
  • Sumatran Rhino (Indian Rhino?)
  • American Flamingo
  • Arctic Hare (IDK)
  • Australian Swan
  • Birds of New Guinea

i don't think wolverines are found in temperate biome? they are tundra, alpine and taiga
Their range extends slightly to temperate.

Sorry for any terse responses, I’m sure you’re just trying to help and educate and I appreciate that. But the wolverine biome and territory discussion has been picked apart a number of times already.

Coastal Pack
1. Walrus
2. Green Sea Turtle
3. Sea Otter
4. Pelican
WE: Some wading coastal birds or Coconut Crab (I think a shore aviary would be cool)
Scenery could be Yukon River/Mining Stuff with nets, rusty metal pieces, mossy pier pillars, buoys, ...

Anniversary
Hamadryas Baboon

Birdy Animal Pack
1. Secretary Bird
2. Mallard/Mandarin Duck
3. Black/Mute Swan
4. Golden Pheasant
5. North Island Brown Kiwi
6. Greater Rhea
7. Western Capercaillie (Grey Crowned Crane/ Shoebill)
WE: Mawcaws (Scarlet, Hyacith, Great Green, Blue and Yellow)

So I my two packs would both be animal packs, Children’s Zoo and Avian pack. As much as I want highlands and temperate I think these are what I need the most to build a realistic zoo. I would vote for the aquarium pack, but I feel like it is the most unrealistic in terms of what can exist in game.
Children’s Zoo Pack
  1. Dwarf Goat species
  2. Potbelly Pig
  3. Zebu cattle
  4. Domestic Chicken
  5. Patagonian Mara
  6. African spurred tortoise
  7. Squirrel Monkey
  8. Ducks (Mallard, Mandarin, Wood Duck, White Faced Whistling Duck)
Avian Pack
  1. Secretary Bird
  2. North Island Kiwi
  3. African Vulture
  4. Bald Eagle
  5. Snowy Owl
  6. Scarlet Macaw
  7. Kookaburra
  8. Indian Great Hornbill

I agree that this would complete the game more so! It would definitely help with the obvious holes in our animal choices. For the Anniversary animal though, I'd like "just" a mammal. Maybe a Spectacled Bear. Also, I want more color morphs.

why would there be tense responses? we are just talking about biomes
btw if you mean temperate conifer forests in western na, that's still taiga in the game, in other words alpine
i think putting wolverine in a temperate pack is not appropriate, it is like putting polar bear in taiga pack (yes polar bear has taiga tag but still not best pack for it)
a highlands or tundra pack is better for them i believe

Thinking about potential themes here, and I'm going to throw out what themes I'd most like to see through the end of 2024 plus a couple of others. But...let's say that we only have 2 packs left. What 2 of the following would you pick? One must be an animal pack and one must be a scenery pack - you can choose what you'd prefer to be each. This is very important to understand that when picking, there would be no more content after these two packs, so no saving anything for later. Just pick 2. I'm not including species since that's a lot to choose from, just going with the general theme but feel free to list them in your specific picks like I"m doing.

Temperate Pack
Highlands/Taiga Pack
Islands Pack
Petting/Children's Zoo Pack
Avian Pack
Aquarium Pack
Amazon/Rainforest Pack
Finale/Wrap up Pack

Just curious which two would be the ones you'd have to have at the expense of anything else.

I'd personally go with a Temperate pack and Avian pack, begrudgingly accepting there would be no more New World Monkeys.

Temperate - Wolverine, Tasmanian Devil, Kiwi, Spectacled Bear - Bald Eagle Non Walkthrough Exhibit (NWE)

Avian Pack - Swan, Secretary Bird, Shoebill, Pelican habitat animals: WE/NWE exhibits: Scarlet Macaw, Hyacinth Macaw, Toco Toucan, Rhinoceros Hornbill, Kookaburra, Golden Eagle (6 exhibit animals should make it alright to make the total of 10 animals instead of the normal 8.
Love this idea, though I do miss something like a Coastal pack.

I would go for;
Scenery-Islands pack;
-Tasmanian Devil
-Aye-Aye
-Northern Island brown kiwi
-Goodfellow tree kangaroo
-Panther Chameleon(E)

Highlands pack;
-Wolverine
-Markhor
-Golden takin
-Gelada baboon
-Darwin Rhea
-Musk ox
-Spectacled bear
-Japanese giant Salamander(E)

oh I don't disagree that something like Taiga or Tundra is much more accurate to describe a Wolverine's environment. Just making the point their range does extend to temperate, although only a little bit. And just my opinion but going with temperate opens up more possibilities of what I'd want than Tundra and Taiga would. Both our views are correct, just a matter of how to arrange the packs.

right now i'm looking at both wolverine and biome maps and honestly i still don't see how their range extends to temperate
by temperate do you mean temperate biome or temperate latitudes? bc they are very different things
for example temperate conifer forests are taiga in the game, or temperate steppe is grassland

We'll just go with that second explanation. Wolverine for Taiga.

I'll await the individuals to respond that Wolverines are not Mountainous/Taiga animals...so it can be moved to Tundra, so that people can then go back to claiming they're more warmer climates than Tundra, such as Woodlands/Temperate. The cycle shall continue to be picked apart, when really the easiest way to deal with it is to accept it would fit in all 3 biomes.

i wasn't being sarcastic, i was just trying to understand the logic behind it

I understand that. I appreciate it, it's not something directed at you. It's just a conversations that's been had several times over and for some reason it's one that gets me going lol.

But I do appreciate you trying to figure out the logic behind it and I know you were doing it for good reasons.
