AFK credit farm; does it depend on security level?

In X there is "Sinza" that accelerates the whole sim. In X3 you had to attach a rubberband to the stick to fake input so it wouldn't deactivate. In X4 the devs removed that exploit barrier but I found myself barely using time acceleration at all. It was made as a means to shorten travel times but like in ED X devs shifted towards faster travel speeds and this came out at the sweet. And making money by running sinza all night isn't really that hot.

Can anyone give an explanation about the coherence between a system security level and a number of earning credits? I mean AFK credit farming.
My AFK farming usually takes place in the kitchen. I don't earn any credits, but the system security depends heavily on wether the spouse is around or not.

I do that kind of 'the game' activity while I'm sleeping. It takes 6-7 hours never day time. There are prons only: obtainment high grade materials and credit as mission rewards . I don't let the the game to live its own way as long as I can play.
It needs to emphasize the special circumstance as AFK is not a type of official prohobitted activity. It can't be depicted as cheating.
What's wrong with my point of view?
Nothing wrong at all per your point of view. It is when a player asks for information on an activity in ED many ignore this and post their opinions on the activity instead of assisting the player. Then actual replies get buried in all the opinions. Get used to it and don't let it bother you. All who post opinions are not all who play AFK and have different opinions.

I don't have an answer per security level but here is my AFK build from long ago. It could go a long time in a low rez until some NPCs managed to open the cargo hatch, take the gold then no cargo no attacks. For high threat areas a dangerous Anaconda NPC could weaken it some then the next NPCs might actually take it out. I monitored it often. With mostly low ranking NPCs attacking it never did put a useful improvement in my Elite ranking but a nice way to make credits while dealing with real life.

Regards

Thank you)) I've already tried out various ways, It seems I know the optimal method. Heaving read this thread I have realized to sharing experience is not good idea, but once a time somebody would ask and I'll give the answer.

I know I am late to this discussion, but I would like to think that it shouldn't be possible to afk farm credits in Elite Dangerous.

I see nothing wrong with AFK. I found the idea interesting enough to experiment with builds in EDSY. However I've never put any into practice because I prefer actually playing and I couldn't convince myself the gains would be worth all the ship building, engineering and mission collecting.

Part of ED is doing ship designs for niche roles. AFK play itself is not really worthwhile though.

Ship theory-crafting is one of my favorite side pastimes in Elite and it was the aforementioned "intrigue" of something like this working that led me to build a ship for this.
To my surprise it actually works quite effectively. However the process of going out, stacking the missions, flying to the REZ and activating the beast left me sitting in front
of my keyboard laughing at the funny spectacle. YouTube, beer and snacks at hand made for an enjoyable few hours.

So technically I was playing the game only with less input. I look at it as "playing" the game but in a good way and love the fact that it's possible to do. I'm not hurting for
cash so I wouldn't leave it running overnight or anything, but who knows maybe I'll try. And I couldn't blame anyone else for wanting to do so either.

It's what makes this game great and I really hope they don't nerf it. o7

I have a hobby to breed ships (mostly for PVE) as well) I gess your build would hurt with not enough shield regen rate. So I prefer bi-weave. It doesn't need docking computer, and 1E cargo totally suit. You can use a cheat - having got delivery mission not being bothered cracker's drones, so one slot could be placed with shield booster instead of point defence. Keep in mind that your build must stand all time you sleep, may be 10 hours.

Is that right? NPCs don't use hatchbreakers if you have a delivery mission? That's a good wheeze.

I'm aware of mission cargo not being hatch breached but that was part of my fun watching them desperately try. 😂
My Prismatics never dropped half a ring either so I'm confident with them holding up against anything they throw at it.
Besides, it is a meme build so nothing serious.

Frankly speaking, the build cannot withstand enemies offence in HighRes (go to high only in system with high security level). The reason is the prismatic. Of course for one hour it's anough.

Next time I'm in the mood I might throw on some Bi-Weaves to check out. 👍

FDev's TOS is flexible enough that if they decide your gameplay is not in the spirit of the game, to strip you of your ill-gotten gains and also shadow-ban you
Especially if you are using AFK farming to get into top ten for a bounty CG...

They can just as easily make the CG not favor this kind of build. No need to go down the let's ban/nerf everything road.
Especially if the game mechanics allow for it.

I think it's not possible. A loner can't fullfil. AFK looks like fairgroud with attractions. One visits it but not stays long.

With credits so easy to come by, I would think that AFK credit farming would not even be worth the power costs of leaving your system running..
