Maybe Frontier loves my wackiness so much they wait until my return to announce the update/DLC

I wish it were fun to dream, but that stopped being fun a long time ago when people let their dreams turn into actual speculation, raising their own expectations, then getting mad when the thing that we know is nothing turned out to be nothing.

It is not fun to dream. It is a headache to dream.

I'm convinced the wolverine won't come until Christmas.

I think the next pack will be temperate. Devil, wild boar, raccoon dog, probably another deer, maybe a smaller deer like a muntjac or pudu (the latter seems likely since we're all desperate for more South America, even though the pudu isn't really what we're after for that). Then the Christmas pack will be 'continental'/highlands/alpine themed, which will include the wolverine.

My thoughts are exactly, just swap the deer in the temperate Pack for a bird like the Rhea or swan

I'm convinced that the Tassie devil should be in the next pack. Howerver other than that, I think it will all be temperate americas. ABB, Coati, Coyote, Mule Deer, Pudu, etc with US scenery.

Oh, I was trying to be realistic, not post a wishlist. Let's be real, expecting even non-flying birds is not realistic.

I don't watch the livestreams but the answer is no; they never talk about these things during the livestreams. Even the "special livestreams" don't directly talk about what's coming IIRC, they do it in a roundabout way with their pottery classes and such giving typically obvious clues about what we should expect.

Well I know that. I usually do watch the livestreams. Even some of the streams where they play PZ.

I mean the devil in a temperate pack would already be a huge blow towards a islands pack and the kiwi not being there aswell would kill it.
Would people be down for an islands pack in fall? Could be tassie, kiwi, tree kangaroo and japanese serow, 2 temperate, and 1 tropical and colder climate animal, a nice mix imo

Got to say I am surprised how many people want the Wild boar since I see it everyone mentioning it. What is up with that? People were mad that we are getting Raccoons and Skunks because “they are not zoo animals” and suddenly everyone wants another “not a zoo animal”.

I think most people were pretty happy with getting them. People have different opinions tho. I feel like the wild boar isn't a top popular species, but definitely not unheard of on the forums (and still pretty high on the wishlist).

With Temperate being the most common theme discuss in the last while, europe being one of the noteable temperate places and the boar being one of europes main missing players it makes perfect sense that it came up more often these days.
Also the statement that raccoons and skunks arent zoo animals is just straight up wrong

Eh not really anymore, if we get the Tassie in a temperate pack and we already got the Fossa, only real one I'm missing is the Tree Kangaroo which isnt neccesarily an animal I'm dying for, it would just be one thats cool to have. Childrens Zoo or Temperate are still my top picks for fall.

Not likely, unless they drop the devil. The devil and kiwi both will need new rigs and seeing how the last 2 packs have only had 1 complete new one (sloth and porcupine) its one or the other.
