It does actually live in the amazon, mainly the high altitude cloud forests in the limits of the western amazon region. It can still be considered a rainforest species since cloud forest is basically a rainforest anyway.I thought its range bordered the Amazon but wasn't actually in the Amazon. This species is so confusing as to what it can be included in. Taiga/Mountains is obvious but beyond that there's all kinds of conflicting talk about it.
