Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

Hello everyone. After being a silent reader of this thread for quite a while now, I decided to finally interact a bit myself.
There's to much fun going on here to not jump in ! ^^

(out of subject, but I saw someone mentionning the tiny Formicidae to be french. Is that true? Because if it is, on behalf of the french people, grave mesures might have to be taken)

Edit : grammar

Meh. That doesn't prove much.
But that could definitely be something said by a frenchie, for sure. That's much more probabable that it being said by a Canadian.
That could also be a treacherous trick to spew confusion .....

Mmmmmmh......
I'm gonna try something.

SC is not sold as is. TOS specifies a refund period of 14 days, but they will still refund up to 30 days. (pretty sure its 30)
Praise be to CIG that give us 16 days more by the grace of Roberts!

Although, not sure what you mean really. The game is sold as is irrespective of CIG´s leniency on the usual refund periods.

He speaks very good English, if I were to guess, I'd say Canadian rather than French French?

I watched this video about Pay 2 Win - The Game with my son a little earlier as it popped up in the recommendations. It's probably been discussed before maybe, and to be fair not all of it is applicable to SC, but this bit, oh boy:

When discussing hundreds to multi-thousand dollar tiers of 'investment', I think we possibly move from it being 'hard' to leave to progressing to Stockholm Syndrome.

In case anyone hasn't seen it, it's worth a watch:

Even the backer think it's madness to spend that on ships :)

Edit: Ok, they're talking Australia - so more like 100-250 GBP or 120-320 USD - not quite that much
