Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

Is this the right game...talking NPC's and fast trains

You have also fast ladder climb in SF. You click on the ladder and after less than one second and a loading screen your are at the top of the ladder...
Works also with takeoff. You click on a button and after some seconds and a loading screen, you are in space.
Works also with simple travel by foot, when you are at the end of the tile you are exploring, you call your ship, go to space and land 10 meters further to generate the next tile to be able to go further in your exploration.

Limits of creation engine I'm afraid...since I assume you're talking about the ship entry after walking up the loading ramp (plus other edited additions)... which is another +3 for the star citizen bingo quotes I'm afraid. :)

But then again, those of us who knew better didn't really expect anything else having played practically every RPG from Bethesda since Daggerfall. Starfield also isn't pretending to be anything else except an RPG set in space...I mean...it doesn't even have bedsheet deformation or working toilets

The other thing it isn't pretending to be? A released game 😎
Well...technically not yet. One more sleep :)

Looking at that sub for the first time makes me ask the question; is it possible to play Star Citizen and make money via these methods?

As in gold farming via playing the game? That's more of an eBay thing. (Selling aUEC credits between wipes).

But people def make $$$ on the grey market via $$$ bought ships, for sure. Selling 'rare' ships after another concept art round or 'flyable' release bumps the official price. Trading in bulk etc.

And if guys like this are to believed, the cash sure does slosh about, even in these Bearish times...

I'm probably not technically correct here but it looks to me like a monetization pyramid scheme all the way to the top.

You´ve never really needed to play the game at all to make money this way in SC. Just buy cheap and sell high. Money launderers are also likely part of the SC grey market, I do not think they are in it to experience the wonders of the BDSSE.
