Fall DLC 2023 Speculation

I'm going to speculate a bit about the words "shake" and "mixing". For me it's about making drinks and I guess that's what we'll see them do in the livestream. At first I was trying to figure out if there are any drinks named after animals, but the only one I can think of is Moscow Mule. Eventough that would fit the word "mixing" in one more way I'm pretty content that we won't get any hybrid animals in the game.

So, how does the mixing of drinks fit the DLC? I think it might be connecting to the theme, which leads us back to the old speculations of the Island Pack. I'm thinking a Caribbean resort setting, they are mixing different drinks (maybe in colors that represents the animals of the DLC?) and talking about the next update.

The Island pack would include some new Caribbean styled building pieces, but also a new kind of resort building including hotel and a new restaurant/bar.

The Island Pack
Tasmanian Devil
Goodfellow's Tree-Kangaroo
American Flamingo
Cuban Crocodile
Caribbean Hermit Crab (E)

Having slept on it this is what I’m convinced of. Islands pack with how they’ll make us guess animals being cocktails. CM’s will use ingredients and we’ll look up what the cocktail could be. Only issue with this theory is would an alcohol based activity be appropriate for younger players?

Examples would be -
Tasmanian Devil - Devil’s cocktail
North Island Brown Kiwi - Kiwi Bellini
Puffins - Puffin Collins Cocktail

They would just need some nod in the title and something that can be found with a quick google.

Would love to see a new hotel mechanic / new bar mechanic. Build style could also be beach themed. More diverse than the aquatic pack.

On my bus this morning.

It’s a sign…

Okay, this was not my idea for a September DLC but this livestream would be so cool! I would totally love to watch it. And the 3 animals you mentioned are all in my wishlist so I would be really happy. I'm totally on this train :D🍹

Yes, that cocktail idea would be awesome! I guess they could be making only "virgin" versions to avoid any alcohol related issues.

from reading someone post earlier, I do t know why this idea came to kind to me today.
A worlds fair theme. A chance to introduce new food/drinks stalls. Festival and fair type of theme. Banners and flags. The animals are from very different parts of the world.
1. Spectacled bears. SA
2. Tasmanian devils. AU
3. Capercaillie. EU
4. Markhor. Middle east
E or WE: something from China or a WE koi pond idea that I’ve had for a while.
Markhor is not Middle East ...

Also I don't think getting American Black Bear means no Spectacled Bear next pack, they are pretty different. Plus may I remind everyone that we got the fennec and arctic foxes right after each other.

Coconut crab as an exhibit? Then it does give them a chance to also use the sea turtle rig from the recent Jurassic World Evolution 2 DLC 🤔 unsure if they would do that though. On the rocks rockhopper penguin 😅

Crazy how so many people in the community are jumping on the conclusion that it's going to be a NA centered temperate pack
Nobody is jumping to that conclusion. Some people want the American black bear, and others don't.
Coming off the manatee discission, question to all: What are your pet peeves when it comes to speculation threads/wishlists/discussions on the forum?
The same wishlist getting posted over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over...

Oh, and "I want birds." Yeah, no duh. Everyone does. Frontier has known that since November 2019. We probably aren't getting birds, asking for them three million times isn't going to change that.

Also the inevitable, "Birds are coming this time for sure!" though thankfully this time around it hasn't been as pervasive.

Why is it that there's so much hate when somebody asks for the ABB. Like, literally, out of all the North American animals, people agree that the ABB is the only one needed, but when somebody brings it up, it's filled with hate.
Then y'all expect other places to be "complete". I mean seriously, it's one or the other. Getting the ABB does not mean that the spectacled bear isn't gonna come. As Mayki stated, we got 2 foxes in a row. We've gotten 2 deer in a row.

And also, the reason why some people say it's a North American temperate pack is because the other fall DLC have been based off of temperate North America. Plus, if the rumor is true that 2023 is essentially gonna be complimentary packs for 2021, then it only makes sense that North America is next. That would mean we would get a Eurasia-based, but it may be something like Taiga animal pack, pack in December

I guess that people are more eager to get the spectacled and are afraid that getting the ABB would mean a longer wait for the spectacled. But as you mentioned, nothing says that we can't get two bears in packs straight after one another. Personally I have nothing against the ABB. I'd prefer getting it before the EBB every day in the week lol.

Regarding it being a NA Temperate Pack you're right about the fall pattern, but I could easily see that pattern broken this time. I guess we'll just have to wait for Monday to get more clues (unless we get info about the update before that).

Idk for me I guess it’s just not an interesting animal. I’ve warmed up to it a bit but I still feel there’s more interesting temperate animals, but other than the Wolverine and the swan there aren’t many other too many interesting NA animals for me, so I’ve accepted it. I’ll be annoyed if 3/4 of the habitat animals are NA though.

But the vast majority that has posted since the livestream post seems quite content that it's going to be a temperate pack (not necessarily NA focused though).
Yes, because it's probably going to be a Temperate Pack based on the evidence. I'd put it at a very high possibility. That wasn't what we were talking about, though.

"Someone doesn't agree with my wishlist choice, they're a hater!"

There's no "hate". That's just melodramatic. There are a lot of non-Americans here, probably more non-Americans than in most online spaces, so you can't expect American wildlife to be particularly high priority to everyone. Like I keep saying, from my own perspective there is far more than enough North American wildlife in the game now. If we get another bear I'd rather it was the sloth bear, since the Indian representation is abysmal, or the spectacled bear, because frankly it's just more interesting to me. Or, of course, the Eurasian brown bear, because at least I'll get a lot of use out of that.

What evidence
The only evidence; the Koppen Climate Map. Tropical, Arid, Temperate, Continental, and Tundra; the five climate biomes proposed by Koppen. Last two packs were Tropical and Arid; it follows that the next one will be Temperate, as this fits the autumnal season, and the December one would probably just fuse Continental and Tundra, since there's a ton of crossover there anyway, which fits perfectly with the winter.

It's obviously not a guarantee, but it's literally the only good guess I've seen.

Edit: Did you think people were hyping up a potential Temperate Pack for no reason?
