Fall DLC 2023 Speculation

Thats exactly why i never quite understood the " ugh its just a backyard animal picking through my trash" against the raccoon and others.
Exactly!!!! I dont have any problem with any "backyard" animal, also i'm the guy who gets excited when he sees turkey/black vultures in the sky nearby or simple Virginia opossum, the last yea there was one on the ceiling of a classroom at my high school and I was very excited that I took a photo of it 😵‍💫😜, It makes me my day ❤️

So, for something completely different before this becomes unbearable... most wanted (habitat) birds from each continent?

Africa - Grey crowned crane (helmeted guinaefowl came in very close second)
Asia - Silver pheasant
Europe - Mute swan
Oceania - Kiwi
South America - Muscovy duck (ideally with both wild and domestic variants)
North America - Turkey
Africa - Great White Pelican: We need a pelican, this is the one most common in captivity and among the largest range. They are most iconic for africa and its really a shame that they arnt here yet
Asia - Mandarin Duck: Arguably the most beautiful duck, extremly common in zoos, finally a duck and i doubt anybody would complain about this one
Europe-White stork: Besides being a very iconic animal and extremly common zoos, they also cover not just europe but also africa and asia, giving a large boon to the grass land and wetlands birds for these continents
Oceania- Victoria Crowned Pidgeon: Proaply the most iconic tropical house free roaming bird that only rarely flies. Its blue is quite the rare color in the game and would stand out by alot
South America- Scarlet Ibis: Arguably the most beautiful and most common ibis species, they would work like small flamingos and just be a huge boon to south american and wetlands areas
North America- Domestic Turkey: Quite Iconic Domestic Animal, would bolster the domestic ranks while also being able to be used as a standin for its wild cousins. Propaply the most "american" bird that isnt the bald eagle

Your list is great, but I would add even more:

-European mink (critically endangered and only living in a couple of European countries)

-Eurasian otter (our otters not only live in rivers, now they are starting to appear at some beaches!)

-European beaver (a species that has come back from extinction in our country)

-Pine marten (to add more mustelids)
And don't forget the Great bustard! 60% of the world's population lives in the Iberian peninsula.
As well as the maaaaany waterfowl species that would make great representatives of the country. The white stork is a very iconic pick too, having an astounding local conservation story, going from being a terribly rare species to being present at every town's bell tower.

I wouldn't say I'm lucky to get foxes and badgers, they are more of an issue since they both of them fight for their own territory never mind my own cat in between them, although they do act as pest control in the long run. One animal I love having as a backyard animal is the European hedgehog, they are so cute when I get to see them.
I agree! The red fox family living in the space between my garden and the garden behind are a bit of an issue. They scream all night, they leave messes all over everyone’s garden, and are a threat to both of my dogs (one of which is a tiny puppy). I love seeing them, and get excited every time one runs across the shed roof, but they definitely aren’t a convenient neighbour!
The badgers and hedgehogs, on the other hand, whilst rarer are a lot nicer to have around! They’re so sweet looking and never disturb anyone. I treasure every time I see one.
Another animal I have in my neighbourhood is the Red Kite. I’ve seen it hunting a few local birds, and eyeing up the dogs too! Definitely a scary one to have around, but a beautiful bird none the less!

It's strange because all the previous times we already knew what was in store for the update, nothing this time. i don't think no one at Frontier had time to make a single thread on the Forum in the previous days, so there are three possibilities:

  1. The update is lackluster or non existent, so they want to focus on the Dlc
  2. Normal case, update showcase and Dlc hints, but don't know why they didn't post anything these days 🤷‍♂️
  3. Frontier is cooking 👨‍🍳

The last few updates were announced without build up and they had a special stream later on the same day they announced the update

This is the calm before the storm. The next few days are gonna be loaded with chatter between the (likely) announcement of the update 1.15 features earlier in the day and the livestream at 4pm BST followed by the likely DLC announcement (and that financial report) on Tuesday. Gonna be a wild, hopefully fun ride!

And I just realized I've had a meeting scheduled on me at the time the stream starts. Time to try and re-schedule that one...
