Fall DLC 2023 Speculation

Oh no, I missed the whole Stream. Anyway, judging by the clues, this could be a solid pack! Kiwi and Tasmanian Devil are solid enough on their own and if the Little Blue Penguin is true, I will be happy with the pack. Quokka is not something I really needed, I would much prefer the Tree Kangaroo. I do hope the exhibit animal will be the Rainbow Lorikeet, that would be super exciting!

I must say I really love the look of the new update. I haven't used the Orangutans yet, but I might find some space in my zoo for them just to see them brachiating and the Glass domes are really exciting!I guess it is time to buy the Africa Pack to get some use of them with Meerkats.

As much as I love the probable pack, I still think slapping a really broad name onto a regional DLC is silly so I'm holding out some hope that this will just be an Oceania Pack instead. Islands admittedly seems the label they're more likely to go for though.
Honestly I'm sitting at like 50/50 between a general Temperate Pack focused on Oceania or something else.

I am very ashamed to have not done an Aussie zoo yet. Heres my island zoo concept.

I would find it hilarious if this was the case. Actually, it would be really funny if all of the drinks were birds - but not the ones we expect -

Firecracker Punch - Kea
Sunshine smile - Pootoo
Cerulean Pebble - Bower bird
Citrus blossom - Gouldian finch

What would be a good fake out bird for the kiwi drink?
the southern brown kiwi instead of the north island kiwi

I don't know if someone asked this before but you guys talk a lot and sometimes I have to sleep so I can't keep up with the discussion, so I'm gonna ask it.
Are you sure it will be a 5 animals pack? I'm a bit surprised that they would have given hints for all the animals of the pack because they generally don't. Has this happen before?
because they have never released 2 animal packs in a row and yes almost all the animals in the twilight pack were teased

Looks great! I always planned to build an Australian wildlife park after the devil was added (I have one I made after the Australia Pack but that's both really old and would be hard to expand) and if the penguin and the quokka come too then it'll be especially tempting. I want to finish Stringybark Zoo first though, and I'll definitely integrate the new Aussie species into that zoo as well.

Thank you! I am really bad at finishing projects, so I think a relatively straightforward one like this is a nice change from what I've been working on (just did a 6k pieces plus Balinese temple oopsie). I'm yet to finish a zoo so here's hoping I can actually do this one and reach the finish line! I left space to fit other species if we are wrong about the line up, eg the tree kangaroo would go in the forest behind the villas, and of course, plenty of free space Incase we lucky out and get more Australian animals. I did think about doing a roadside zoo based on something wild in Tassie, or the Darling Downs zoo, but thought this was more pack appropriate/on brand.

I don’t think anybody asked for the quokka before this morning. And I feel like this pack will be an ok one (that doesn’t correspond with my feelings on the update, update is amazing) I’ll like the animals.

The Tassie Devil isn’t one of my top picks but i still like it. The Kiwi I do really look forward to, it’s an amazing bird. If we get Walrus I will not be interested in it whatsoever. If we get another penguin, depends on what it’ll be, but I’ll probably be happy with it. The tree kangaroo would bump this pack from a “pretty good” to a “let’s gooo one of the best ones yet”
It appears in the metawishlist and I am one of the people who wrote it in his top 25, so I am happy with it at the end of the day. But I generally love small mammals, I was super excited for the Twilight Pack aswell.

This made me want to go back to look at the metawishlist to see how different Oceanian species currently ranked, and the quokka is actually higher than I would have guessed:
1. Tasmanian Devil (#1)
2. Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroo (#6)
3. North Island Brown Kiwi (#10)
4. Short-beaked Echidna (#21)
5. Matschie's Tree Kangaroo (#49)
6. Little Penguin (#56)
7. Quokka (#61)
8. Yellow-footed Rock-wallaby (#77)
9. Numbat (#87)
10. Kakapo (#96)

Where's Fini's waiting bear when we need him...
Sorry 🥺
I had a company party after work and I had already agreed to it before I knew about the stream.

And now I'm digging through all the posts here... and there are still quite a few :sneaky: [...]

Edit: Phew! Read everything
I watched the livestream yesterday. Normally I'm pretty good at recognizing the animals, but I didn't recognize anything outside of the kiwi and I don't think your speculations fit 100%. Surely the first drink had devil horns, but chilies don't necessarily go well with Tassie, do they? 3 birds in one pack sounds like too good to be true. I am sceptical.
I can't do much with Australian animals, but I'm happy for our Australian player that they get something. And if that thing about the lorikeets is really true, oh man.
The update is the best so far.
I like the glass dome, even though I've never seen anything like it in a zoo and the fact that the orangs can now swing is really cool!

According to this newer list that dates from 2022 though:

-Quokka is demoted to #113.
-Kiwi rises to #6 and Little Penguin to #48.
