Planet Zoo: Oceania Pack arriving 19 Sep 🐧

I am happy for all the players who wanted the Tasmanian Devil and the Kiwi so much, or even the Little Blue Penguin. I personally never was a fan of an Island based DLC-idea. But after we got an South East Asian based Theme Pack, an African Desert Animal Pack and now an Oceania Themed Pack I have high hopes that the next DLC will finally (and please please please!!!!) focus on South American Animals, maybe as an Aboreal Animal or Woodland Animal Pack. That would be my dream-come-true. There are so many interesting options for SAA and the Coati is high on the wishlist, also as New World Monkeys, so please Frontier!!!

In Planet Coaster they did something for the dark coasters where the lighting would switch to 'night mode' while you were riding it I believe.

I'm honestly surprised this has come up again. Take into consideration development time. We have to assume that seven habitat animals or four habitat animals plus scenery is the most they can do in a three month period. If you want to increase either the number of animals or get scenery in an animal pack or whatever else, then presumably there would also be an increase in development time. So instead of four DLC packs in a year, we're down to three, or two, or one, depending on how much extra content you want per pack.

They aren't withholding content "just because".

Wouldn't more money mean that they could employ more people and therefore meet the same deadlines while producing more content ? You make firm assertions but I am not sure I understand the reasoning behind all of them.

I'm so happy. Finally I have my devil because it was in my wish list, the others are meh for me, even if I am curious to see the kiwi and the bat and the penguin.

New color morphs for the king penguin from the water pack, so cool.

I hope in this update it will have lots of things corrected or at least one thing from this list corrected like

Some animal names need to be corrected and other things like

1. Pronghorn Antelope inAntilocapre
2. Plains Zebra to Grant's zebra
3. Indian Elephant to Asian Elephant
4.The giant anteaters are dangerous animals and should not be placed in a walk-through habitat.

Because if something is not corrected I will be a little disappointed

This is so very cool Frontier I love it :love: Kiwi is so cute and I want to see rest of the animals soon. It also release in a week?? You are the best!

Can I ask if the Clouded Leopard jumping will now be fixed in the patch? I hope you guys had time to check it out. :):) and thank you for brachiating Orangutans and glass view domes really appreciate it and also the King penguin new colour morphs, very cool that we will now have 3 penguins!!! I love them :)

In theory, but that isn't how businesses typically operate, and given the recent financial report it certainly looks like they're winding down.

Potentially, but it also means higher costs per DLC, more ongoing costs and, therefore, more risk. There are also aspects that don’t scale with a larger team - whatever management or approval processes etc. have to be taken just take longer if there are more decisions to be made and more staff to manage.
Whatever the calculus, we can be fairly sure that Frintier are going their best to maximise profits while minimising risks and that they know a fair bit more about both of these than we do.

For planet zoo, the possibility of night mode couldwork by automatically changing to actual nightime but i understand this could be buggy if one rapidly changes positions inside to outside the building. A building material that allows true nighttime darkness would be so great for nocturnal houses.
