Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

With the long press on the binding making that wheel semi permanent I find it far more usable than the other one.
Now that I have found out why the insight hub seemingly didn't want to cooperate*, I can agree with you that it is a very helpful tool.
Though the two other wheels are for me as a controller player quite helpful, too.

*: As you all may know, to activate the insight hub, you need to press a button for a second or so. Not being aware of that fact, I put it on a double button press (like B+⬆️), which doesn't work. You are also able to put it on an already occupied button without prompting a warning, which can also cause issues, especially if you happen to put it on a button that activates one of the other wheels.

From a high on-foot CZ where everyone else was stuck to the ground....😲

Those i would like to visit as well.
I am a long time Dune fan.
I think Geidi Prime was the third planet in Ophiuchi B. However, this one was slightly tricky to find as the Elite universe uses its alternative name of "Cabalrai".

I may make a point of going there later today. As far as Inara is concerned, it doesn't look like there's any reference to the Duneverse - which is a shame.

Out of curiosity, I've been looking at various planets from the "Dune" universe. So far, I seem to have found Arrakis, Caladan and Geidi Prime.

These, and LV 426 (Acheron), are places that I really need to visit.
It's funny you should mention this as the following video popped up in my YouTube feed yesterday and I've been trying to figure out where the stars are in the game. If they exist in game, they don't all have the same names as in the video:

Two other wheels?
Oh yes the make rude gestures emotes one, I just bound those to key combinations and promptly forgot about them as I did for the other non insight hub wheel.
Fortunately not doing missions or shooty stuff on foot means that I haven’t needed most of that stuff whatever it was.

Well the Duneverse stuff won’t happen for many thousands of years into the future.

The insight hub definitely is the most important of the lot. But nonetheless, with a controller, it is good to know that they exist. One never knows what weird situations one could end up in...

I remember comments at the time when Odyssey was in trials just before launch that they were optimised for controllers.

Which doesn’t help me as I have never even held one let alone have one to use for walking about.

If/when I decide to do something more complicated on foot I will relearn the more important bindings again just as I check my ship bindings from time to time.

For me, the controller is the only viable option, as M&KB would force me to cut my sessions short (below 30 mins) to avoid having tendosynovitis flaring up in both arms.

Some times I have to stop using my HOTAS for the same reasons...I dislike game controllers though...
In the early days of my PC gaming endeavours, I didn't like them, either. They were awkward to handle and coming with only a digipad and 4 buttons (some frivolous models came with 6 buttons, wow), they didn't offer any added value over a standard keyboard.
The added value slowly crept in with the development of the analogue stick(s), analogue triggers and ergonomic bodies. And with my arms getting worse over time, I had to look for alternatives. I already had to switch the mouse from right to left, but that wasn't enough.
