What did you do in Planet Zoo today?

Fairly large, I would aim to make 800m2 minimum sized habitats for both of them.

Zoopedia says 100m2 for 2 monitors, I would make a semi aquatic wetland style habitat for them.

Well... you want to them die of dehydration? A small pool for drinking is all you need, don't make a water monitor habitat for a komodo, I love making either a tropical forest or beach themed habitat for the dragons.

No need, neither can climb.
Oh, duh. Of course @Orkan was talking about in-game. Why'd I think he was asking for real-life?!😅🤦🏼‍♂️

I’m going to start the next section of Eastborro Zoo today called Expedition Asia. It’s past the Children’s Zoo and Mixed AU habitat. I built a small Cassowary habitat next to it and it bridges the gap from Oceania to Asia. Any ideas? My inspiration meter has dropped a bit the past few days.
Id suggest babirussas to add close to the cassowaries, they are a small, lowkey animal that is also pretty close to oceania

I found out yesterday that the male sun bear at Edinburgh Zoo has died. He had been kept in a tiny cage as a pet in Cambodia and was brought to Edinburgh by the Free the Bears charity. This made me quite sad so I decided to work on the sun bear enclosure of my new zoo:

Wait, we have Babirusa splash screens? Or which loading screen are you talking about?
Aw I was excited we got a tiny update with new splash screens for a second 😕
Devs, please bring us more splash screens. While not essential, they add some spice to the game. At least 1 per DLC, please. They're so much fun

Wellington Zoo's bear is also descended from rescues that I believe came from the very same organisation!

Progress on the immersive Madagascar area.
I now bought the Oceania dlc (but cheaper on Instant gaming) because the pieces are very useful and not only work in an Oceanian theme but in a Madagascar one, too. I escpecially like the driftwood and the barrel.
(note: the dead climbing trees are made by CesarCreates)

I wonder, do those climbing trees work in this habitat? I've never had any luck with workshop climbing blueprints and always have to make my own.

According to the heatmap they are accessible and I rarely see an animal in these but I feel like they would use the ordinary climbing frames more often. I'm going for the better look and realism over functionality here though.

I build the last two habitats of the Oceania Beach section, which means I finished Unity's beach section as a whole habitat wise.

Still have to do some path decoration fine tuning, make sure the tour is easy to follow and add trash cans and benches everywhere - I always forget them.
Next section to work on will be the tropical one, Unity Jungle.

It will be one of the biggest sections with 20 habitats planned. With 18 and 13 habitats for the two other sections planned as well, I kind of wonder if it will all fit or if I might kill my computer. (Thank you to Frontier for the ability to turn climbability off in pieces, that might help)

It really does, large forests with climbable trees now can have virtually no impact on performance (for my computer at least) . Entire habitats with no need for climbable materials also have improved performance thanks to this toggle.
Yeah, I'm really consistent with turning everything climable off that does not need to be climbable. Hopefully the huge project is atainable that way, even with breeding on.
