Well, it kinda does. Most of the species are found in temperate biomes, which is associated with fall. The only 1 pack that really didn't fit the season was the Grasslands pack, but the rest kinda did
No, but they are following demand, and if there's been demand for a Highlands pack for many months, then it isn't impossible to think that we wouldn't get a Highlands pack this winter
The fact that they were pushing the "sunny island paradise" bit so strongly says otherwise...
The only demand I ever see Frontier following is the meta wishlist, which at the moment suggests several potential options... and then they only kinda follow it...
My guess is, we usually get cold climate animals in the second half of the year, mainly the winter pack. Because they broke this pattern last year, they must’ve known that people would miss cold climate animals, which makes the want for them even stronger this year after 3 more tropical packs of 2023.
Or... you guys are looking for patterns that don't exist. We also got the Europe Pack and the Aquatic Pack in December... and if those count as winter themed, then the list of things that count as winter themed becomes a lot bigger.

Hmm... the presence of Tropical animals in the Aquatic pack? The fact that Europe is more than just mountains and cold, but a diverse region of various environments? Like I said, if those are winter themed, then other things like Woodlands fits the bill as well.
But the overall branding of the pack is winter themed. The colours of both packs are shades of blue, the marketing for the aquatic pack was mainly the penguin, same with the Europe pack. The Lynx was the main attention seaker that they showcased in the winter. The grasslands was pink themed, that’s the opposite of winter.
I beg to differ. The meta wishlist isn't being updated much since the last year, but a lot of our wants were spread in speculation threads and the like. They themselves have stated that they read the threads, so it's more likely that the devs get their info from the various threads we have...
I don't think anybody is saying that woodlands wouldn't work, but, if we're being honest, Taiga/Tundra/Highlands would fit the most.
And technically Oceania cause of the branding, but you’re still right 2/15 not going with the season isn’t enough to break the pattern.

I agree, but I still wholeheartedly believe that the ABB will satisfy most NA players, myself included
I’ve warmed up to it during the fall speculation, I don’t think it’s as important as the Spec. bear still, but I do think it deserves to be included as it is an icon.
Hmm, I'm just not keen on animals using the same rigs or animations. Definitely not when it's obvious as I sometimes like to watch them but there's no point in doing that if they move the same as another animal [for example, using an enrichment item the same or sleeping in the same position as another animal)
The wolverine is apparently our most desired animal yet a clone bear has more than double the votes here, there's a reason why I have never trusted years old wishlists to determine what the community currently wants.
