I know but takin look more like wildebeest or bison, whereas Markhor are built like mountain goats.

Maybe we can have two packs. A goat animal pack and a mountain animal pack!
Alpine marmot I feel is the better option for a standout European animal. The chamois would feel like alpine Ibex 2.

This should basically be like the Nile lechwe and Wild water Buffalo being in the same pack.

Yeah the long flexible tail and lack of beaks, claws and spikes kinda gives it away.

I agree, they are definitely distinct enough to be considered worthy additions each. After all, the arid pack also had two antelopes (addax and gazelle) so I think it could be completely in line with their criteria for adding animals. The markhor is specially beautiful to me, the spiral horns and the gorgeous beard make it stand out a lot.
I wouldn't be surprised or annoyed if we get the markhor, takin and yak together in the same mountain pack to be honest. I think the three of them are different enough. However, one of those three could be replaced by a vicuna or guanaco.

Not too much, haven't played a sonic game in at least 10 or so years. I know I played it on the original Nintendo DS. I was actually watching the sonic boom cartoon last year and heard knuckles being called a echidna.

Can I just say that I really admire the enthusiasm and optimism of everybody in this thread? I keep waffling between optimism and pessimism about the future of the game so I've been posting less... But man, is it awesome seeing you all assuming we'll be getting support and DLC for at least another full year! (I mean this sincerely and unironically.)

To be fair, I'm right there with you. But it is nice that optimism generally reigns. It's easy to catch myself dreaming up another year's worth of content, regardless of how likely I think it is deep down.
I just hope that boundless optimism doesn't turn out to be a detriment if support does end sooner than people want/expect, though.
