Winter 2023 DLC Speculation

Just if it doesn't come out Tuesday. It can be released on November 30 (Thursday) and December 1 (Friday). As with the prairie animals pack. Updated on December 1st so it was a Thursday and the DLC on December 2nd was on a Friday.

I'm hoping for anything like DLC. Except the Children's Zoo or Farm Pack because I hope it will be last. If it's mountain I hope for a Bharal. I don't want the Gelada, I don't mind it, I find it ugly. I preferred the olive Baboon..

I think it’s because I’m from North America, but the burrowing owl. We could get a habitat bird that can live with our prairie dogs, use the burrow feature, and be the first owl species in game.

I think the other one is the guar. An absolutely beautiful and massive bovid from India.

Finally for an exhibit animal: the mata Mata turtle.

As for animals that have basically had no attention at all, I would really love the mainland serow. A pretty variable caprid in terms of both appearance and biome (they can live in temperate Chinese forests alongside giant pandas, in high-altitude taiga in the Himalayas and rainforest in Southeast Asia - I think they are the only wild caprid that would have the tropical tag) and really bizarre looking yet somehow also strangely beautiful - to me, they look like a cross between a donkey, a moose and an ox, with the addition of a big floppy mane. Add that this was the animal the yeti was partially based on, and it becomes even better.

I saw the Debra as monkey at Franklin Park zoo! They are very cute, underrated African monkey pick.

I tend to believe the same thing than Narwhalers says about birds. Their omission from the roster is so obvious that it feels on purpose. And i personally think that is because they are saving them for a dedicated pack (not talking about flying birds here, that hope sunk hard after the Oceania pack and i no longer expect it to happen) but for habitat birds i really see no reason why they keep avoiding them yet they keep giving us thing like dama gazelle, wild buffalo, Nile lechwe, quokka or cuivers dwarf caiman that no one asked for and are even pretty obscure to the general public. They have a galliform rig that haven't reused and there are tons of habitat birds that could benefit from it (pheasants, guineafowls, capercaillie). The rhea is the only Big iconic and common-in-zoos ratite that is still missing. Pelicans and waterfowl (ducks, swans, geese, ibis) have been asked to death and the former even appeared in some early conceptart for the game i believe. Secretary bird is now number one bird in metawishlist and in top five (even in number one at some point i believe) So i choose to believe birds are coming.

My thoughts exactly! But I’m trying to temper my hope so I stop getting in a cycle of: “BIRDS ARE COMING! Oh wait no they aren’t. This is cool too.” Wash, rinse, repeat, for the past 3 years :(

I guess nothing new has really been speculated, huh? Same ol' "not birds, but possibly" and "mountains? Taiga? Tundra? Latin America?" ideas being thrown around?

Big thanks! And welcome back DarthQuell! Yep, it’s been “But Frontier HATES ___!”, birds, and the usual Mountains/Highlands/Domestics/SA.
I think South America needs more animals more so than we need a mountains expansion, but I also feel like a mountains expansion would be more thematic for winter.
Y’know, points made once before.
And I like the idea of a domestics pack, just because sometimes I enjoy the mundane. I had a sheep ranch with wolf “sheepdogs” once.
