Winter 2023 DLC Speculation

I had a dream last night where me, @Captain Callum , and @The Carcharodontogenius got into a fight over UCS Lego Star Wars sets
Sounds better than the Disney trilogy. More excitement and cutthroat.

Orkan: "We were allies, Captain. ALLIES!!! We were supposed to build the LEGO set together, not fight for it"
Captain: "I HATE YOU!"
The Carcharodontogenius: "Don't make me kill both of you"
It'd been so long since I got my hands on one of those, I think the older death star (2008?) was my last one. Planet zoo has stolen all my free time these days.
I'm eyeing that UCS Mos Eisley Cantina. The biggest LEGO set I have is the 2013 Ewok Village. I also have all the 2013-2015 Episode 2 Battle of Geonosis sets

They are endemic to (parts of) the Andean mountain range
Oh gotcha. I’m used to it being endemic “to XYZ country” so didn’t think of endemism to biome/region/ecosystem. Although I think the latter is so broad that it leaves you with way too many other options!

I was thinking about an endemics pack from a country perspective and got a roster I like a lot (although maybe not the best for a general audience):
1. Lion-tailed macaque (India)
2. Cotton-top tamarin (Colombia)
3. Matschie’s tree kangaroo (PNG)
4. Greater prairie chicken (USA)
5. Maleo (Indonesia)
6. Sichuan takin (China)
7. Radiated tortoise (Madagascar)
8. Japanese giant salamander (Japan) (E)

Left out aye-aye, lowland anoa, all Brazil’s tamarins, desert tortoise, nene, black-footed ferret, marine iguana, gelada, all China and Taiwan’s pheasants, Pere David’s deer, kagu, golden snub-nosed monkey, Asiatic lion and a whole lot of exhibit choices. I like this pack’s universe of options!

That’s a funny way to spell Gelada
Shh, we don't allow imposter baboons. Mandrill already took its place

I am at the point where I do not mind any theme to be honest as long as the animals are interesting to me. If I had to choose between those 2 though, I would choose the Alpine theme, as that has a chance for South American animals.

Yeah, I don't want to look indulgent, but as long as the overall DLC quality remains the same, I will be happy with whatever we get. They could keep releasing as much as they want.

The blue guy is Frontier giving me new packs:

Same. The Cantina looks like a pretty good set.

I went to a lego convention in Worcester a few months ago. Some guy had a huge Tatooine build and I got super inspired. Now I’m building a Batuu one that can split into modules for transport in case I ever bring it to one. it’s only got one done and one in progress atm.

Back on topic lol, I need my baboon. They’re very essential to zoos and it’s honestly a bit surprising that we haven’t seen one already.

Who knows, it came as a nice surprise that we got 2 birds in the Oceania dlc, first birds since the crane. A lot of us had noted that frontier was ignoring opportunity’s to add birds. Therefore maybe they will go ahead and break their formula for 1 primate per year and give us one more before the year ends.
I’m still on the belief that the theme will get some NA SA and EU animal rep that it barely got this year.

So which one of the two do we want and which want do we think we will get??;)

This tundra animal pack just looks like NA pack V2 to me (with all animals being present in Northern Canada and Alaska, and some even exclusively so (Mountain Goat, Canadian Lynx) ). And I would personally find it somewhat disappointing, given that NA is already very well represented as a continent.
