Spire Site now Inactive

My presumption is that at some point, we'll get areas like Cone Sector and such unlocked, where there will be literally thousands of systems under Thargoid control, with spire sites, titans and the rest all over the place which will be much harder to take down, if not impossible in some cases, once human space gets cleared.
Col 70 Sector FY-N c21-3 , the system where Thargoid spires don't have POIs.... and use the global geo/bio blue heatmap instead.

Also reach heat above 100% in your GPU/CPU

With a modern CPU / GPU the game barely warms things up.
Sitting inside of a starport seems to like making your GPU spin up a bit more, at least if it’s a 3080(my settings are high/ultra on 1440p120).

Everywhere else, though… yeah, mostly doesn’t ask that much of it(I especially notice some poor Odyssey performance when there is a ton of a specific bio signature present in one area, while the GPU isn’t being hit all that much). I wouldn’t mind that extra heat being generated in place of interior heating during these winter times, though…

Its actually quite spooky, you get that Aliens vibe thinking summit is going to jump out and grab you.
Good chance for a real poke around though.

Why the 120Hz refresh? Better comfort?
My monitor will do 240Hz but I still stick to 60Hz as I don't see any real benefit on most games in increasing it - that and it does appear to keep power use on the GPU down a little!

A couple of games I play are quite power hungry - an hour or so playing them and I can raise the temperature in my sitting room by a degree or so, quite nice as we are going into colder times :ROFLMAO:

Simply to try it. I do notice some difference in the smoothness of the picture, compared to 60(though not enough that I couldn’t play at 60!… like on one of my older-ish consoles for different games). Display goes up to 165(picked it up at a quite nice discount last year around this time while building a new PC), but I’ve seen no need to try pushing it any further.

With congratulations, may I interest you in venturing just a few space-miles along to HIP 25654 in the Taranis region? Spires are indeed very strong now and most will be around for quite a while, but it would be absolutely lovely if this one in particular is torn down as fast as possible!

Much strategy, planning and time from many Commanders has been invested into this attack, and the successive Spire strength increases are threatening the final push this week unless more are able to rally and attack HIP 25654!
Taranis has been cleared, only the titan remains hiding in the maelstrom . Now we need someone to give us the weapons to blow that goid into pieces and send the rest scurrying back to the hell they cam from in fear.

I am well aware, having been part of the wing which delivered most of the final 15% strikes!

While awaiting said weapons, please note that the Spire party is now at Arietis Sector YE-R b4-3 by Maelstrom Leigong. It does not need a full completion this week, although actions there will help prepare its other systems for a final completion next week. The final Spire is then at HIP 9180!

Is there any evidence to suggest that thargoids experience fear like humans do?

Around a Titan the patrolling Thargoids display something like apprehension or at least hesitation, depending where they notice Commanders are flying.

I'd say the jury is still out on their reaction to a commander holding meta-alloys. They don't attack, but to me, it's not a happy reaction either.

Note: the thargon deployment is due to being within 500m of the Thargoid after the 30s window it gives you to drop the meta-alloys, not because the meta-alloys are dropped. It's an older video and I need to update it.

Inactive sites may be pretty uninteresting, but they're sure as heck atmospheric!

@Kira Goto
I was pretty much talking about the here and now so humans capturing and investigating them while under human control to gain some knowledge or something helpful?
As for the other stuff, probably at some point bv why race to something too soon?
From my perspective. i still think humanity is dealing with the invasion.
Time will tell though.
