What about elephants and other animals that also display it proudly? I'm sure kids know what the animal is showing off, no big deal

Yeah, you should have seen the kids dying laughing at the Somali Wild Ass sign at Franklin Park

There's several primate species that walk around with near-permanent enlarged areas that either get laughs or the kids don't even pick up on it, to say nothing of elephants or equids as others have mentioned.

Fair enough. I’ve seen animals do plenty of naughty things during zoo trips. I’ve seen tortoises and bonobos “make each other happy,” and I’ve seen a walrus “make himself happy.” I guess I shouldn’t have a double standard there.
