Maybe watch some of the YouTubers that mostly play PZ but also occasionally do JWE2 stuff. I think that gives you the most honest look into what can't be done in JWE2 compared to PZ
It's fun if you like dinosaurs but those who value the build anything approach in the planet series will be let down. The value of the game to me was how long would my interest in dinosaurs last.
I am not so much a dinosaur fan or a fan of the movies though I am impressed with the quality of the animations and animals. Maybe I will buy it one day.
In shortcut PZ is more about building, whereas JWE2 is more about animals.

PK will never be finished. It's still that chaotic unplayable mess it was a year before.
Nah. They have been working on enormous animal update, which will allow them to add hunting and such in future.
Now updates are supposed to arrive way faster.
I really want to like prehistoric kingdom for what it could offer but after playing Planet games and jwe, it's hard. At best it feels like an early testing version for Planet zoo.

I haven't played much because weirdly enough My computer can handle PZ but was very laggy with PK. I should try again though maybe they did some optimización as well with the new updates.
Animals look great though. They lack in animations for now.
And honestly i like their solution for aviary animals and i wish PZ would implement something like that with birds. I thought the WTE was going to be something like that but here we are still
I haven't played JWE2 but when I was going through their SM to find out when they were posting updates I was really impressed with the dinosaurs. They look so great. I played a little bit of JWE1 and got bored though so is the game play kind of the same?
Tbh PZ is the only game I play a lot of now, I don't really want another way to sink my time and money.

For me it simply needs way more animals. Game is at the stage where devs are adding most popular ones, which arent very consistent with each other. Would like to make thematic zones about certain formations and such, but for now its like puting tiger next to african elephant, which is kind of dull to me. The day they will start release thematic DLCs will make it seriously interesting.
Yes same but at the same time they are still missing very important ones like Stegosaurus, Pachycefalosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Allosaurus, Carnotaurus, Diplodocus, Spinosaurus, etc. So i like that they are adding the more popular important ones first.
I mean one cant really fault an early access game for not having a ton of content yet.
Thematic zones theoretically are arlready possible, just have low numbers of animals, like hell creek, dinosaur park and morrison formation have a couple each.
