Winter 2023 DLC Speculation

It's not in my personal top birds, but I do want SA rep. A rhea seems necessary, but maybe not exciting. It checks a box for regional rep, I guess. I really want waterfowl, pelicans, flying birds, something cool for SA like an ibis or spoonbill, some of the neat African habitat birds, and a couple for NA. I get the rhea not being a favorite.
Sorry but I disagree. Out of the countless packs we didn’t get birds it feels like to me that people have started to take advantage of the fact that we got 2 birds in a pack and now expect more from frontier when all I really see it as is an easy escape for them to make a second penguin.
Compare mountains to all the other packs without birds that should’ve. Tropical, arid, Southeast Asia, South America, etc. mountains really doesn’t seem like the pack that is gonna deliver our bird needs, it feels like a pack that frontier would take advantage of the fact that there are so many good mammals and just say “ok, there are a lot of mammals requested, most easy to make, let’s make the pack all mammals” and I honestly don’t think people would care that much, because birds isn’t the first thing one thinks of when they hear mountains.
I could see it easily breaking 600 maybe 700 once we get speculating after the first animal reveal.

I do want SA rep aswell. Thats why to me the muscovy duck is a superior choice in every single way. Its also SA, just as common in zoos, finally a waterfowl, could have many colorvariation that are so popular among people aswell, and even doubles as a domesticated animal

. Mountain pack is the perfect opportunity for the golden pheasant, which mind you is literally among the most common zoo animals.And to me its 100x more appealing than yet another ungulate, cat or bear

Guys. I didn't think we'd see this day. I didn't think I'd see this day, when I went to bed. But I checked my phone mid-nighttime and low and behold, we've done it. I'm so happy for us. 500 pages

Also the only true hints we have for the pack are what is said in the giftshop and the livestream posts so all the people clutching at straws with the community challenges it could just as easily be completely unrelated.
Since the livestream post was super vague wording we have no other clues other than it probably has something to do with the sun whether that be temperature or solar based themes or a change to the sun or something adjacent to it like behaviours or weather in the update we dont know.
Guys, I can’t help it. I’m going to be absolutely gutted if there isn’t a single flying bird in this pack.
I know we all try and measure our expectations and be realistic, but I hope for them more than anything else every DLC. I know that they won’t come this time either, but I still desperately want them to. It’s just… bats and butterflies are right there, you know? Why not a bird?
I want to be purely excited for the pack, but I know there’s going to be the sting of no birds again. I just wanted to vent to people who get it
