Especially considering there's usually at least one banger of an animal they don't hint at all in the livestream.

It's just because its not birds. And I get being annoyed we don't have more waterfowl or flying birds in the game but having to listen to the same complaints every DLC release gets annoying when Frontier is all but explicitly saying they are saving birds for the sequel. The picks should be judged by what they are, not what they aren't.
If we get a piggyback animation as one of the updates for this DLC, and a yellow-throated marten isn't in the pack, then just give me this Frontier. Then I'd actually be really happy, all things considered.
I agree. But to each their own. That doesn’t mean I’m happy with every pick but they aren’t tailoring packs after one person’s wish.
The wolverine alone makes this pack a win for me, and given the hints—especially about being ferocious - I can’t imagine it being anything else.
Now that I think... everything points to be an Eurasia thingy but... long claws, black coat, and the back babies? 
Even the Saiga is. Number 17 on Meta Wishlist at the Moment. Okay, some people do not consider it serious but it is still our only validation list with a huge number of participants. And which Bear species comes to the Game is not so important. The Sloth Bear is as unique as it is the Spectacled Bear which hopefully will come at a later Stage to the Game. And with the new textures I think it will really Look great. And a new Bear species was really necessary. We did Not get one since nearly 3 years.
We really should accept that there will not be much more unique monkeys or birds. The expense of making them Just seems too high for me that Frontier will do that at this stage. The different birds but also the Monkeys are so various that they probably all need their own rig. And if not, then there is always the possibility to skip a Pack If you are unhappy with the rooster. Nobody forces us to buy it.
Interesting that each of the 4 teased animals are from different Asian regions. Maybe we get something from Western Asia and South East Asia too? Although the arid and tropical packs brought animals from those missing regions. Maybe they complete the pack making it an Eurasia pack with:
1 animal from Southern Europe
1 animal from Western Europe
1 animal from Eastern Europe
(the wolverine works for Northern Europe)

I'm actually excited for Sloth Bear most of all. Its my mom's fave zoo animal and looks vaguely enough like our black Poms that I want it...

Sorry, but I'm... fine with that. Especially if this turns out to be a scenery pack and Latin America IS coming in the springtime.
99% chance this is an animal pack, idk what theme they would go for if it was a scenery pack
