This is why I think the only feature coming is the gift shops, it's such a huge change to what the normal updates contain so it makes sense that it is the only thing talked about.

The bigger issue is that people are getting incessantly toxic about it (case in point, this thread since the stream dropped). I swear the ONLY pack that has not had a storm of toxicity clouding it this year has been Oceania (and yes, people were complaining about it this year, but it’s been tame compared to the other three)
2 things here:
1: people need to remember that this is just a game
2: that at some point this sort of toxic behavior will bleed into irl wildlife issues, such as wildlife conservation. It has with the TierZoo community. And if no one wants this community compared to the TierZoo community it’s suggested to check thyselves and any toxic behavior that one decides to spew onto their keyboards, because I’m seeing some serious warning signs from this community. For example, I’m indifferent to the saiga (and the wisent if that’s what it is, and I’m having my doubts and think that conclusion may just be a load of reaching), I don’t hate it’s inclusion or am disappointed in it. I just see it as being there and that someone will be happy, even if I won’t use it (at least in the near future)

Oh please that's rather dramatic, civilised disagreement is not toxic behaviour.
I dont care how nice the models are they could be photo realistic and Ill still find the animal picks would still be underwhelming.
this would make more sense with the biome background actually and if it is this i think people will be even more upset since it is a basically unknown african antelope. If this and the wisent are what the hints were actually about this will definitely be the worst pack ever.Also... probably not, but look at the Speke's Gazelle. Doesn't it have a curious nose?

There is already teased a Potential second Feature. If the Sloth Bear can carry its Babies it is also a completely new Thing (and probably as huge with a Game mechanic Standpoint of View) which could be extended either with this Pack or in a later Pack to the Anteater and perhaps some other species.
Copium. Competition is hard with SEA animal pack setting the bar very low, i think.
So your saying we wont get baby carrying for any animal besides whatevers in the sloth bear slot because to me that would be significant enough to mention.
I don't know why, but I feel the dlc reveal is gonna be a disaster. I really hope not, but seeing all of the frontier situation and the community reaction over the pack doesn't leave a good aura to be in

At least with Grasslands and Oceania was a lot of hype, specially with grasslands, which turned to be one of the best packs. Hopefully this occurs to this pack too! But it seems not very likely.
Idk, a bear, a gazelle and a buffed goat sound too much to reskins honestly. I hope that I'm totally wrong about this and it turns to be one of the best packs ever, but... for now the response of the whole community wasn't the best knowing what happened with the Arid Pack. Just compare Arid with Grasslands, they are literally counterparts.

At least someone is talking about them. I don't expect them to make their way in either but I think they would be a great addition to the game. A few months back I proposed a "Tree Climbers" pack and they were in my list.
Hey didn't you just tell someone that they likely know nothing about sloth bears and that they need to do some research when it's really easy to see that that very same member has done an incredibly detailed, well researched, and well reasoned thread about what they would like to see in the game and that thread talks about sloth bears vs spectacled bears irrc? I agree that the community needs to check themselves, and that we have a couple of loud and negative members but maybe you should also check how you're addressing people

I don't think a pack can be worse than Deluxe (costs extra, only 3 animals, no pieces) or Arctic (no exhibit animal, literal recolor subspecies, pieces are a mix of wood pieces which we mostly have better versions of now and tacky Christmas decor)
I agree about deluxe purely based on the money argument. For arctic it all depends on what you like I use the scenery all the time mainly the wood pieces and the trellis like fence that plus the polar bear makes the pack worthwhile.
So no its not by definition better because that is completely subjective.
