Winter 2023 DLC Speculation

This would be so funny 😂 Even better as a ride :D

I have to say, I'm very pleasantly surprised by the Eurasia pack. Wisent, Wild Boar, and Wolverine are big winners for me, and we even get the Swan as a new bird (which we really needed more of). Not too excited about the Sloth Bear because it was my least-wanted bear species and imo they could have given us a more interesting animal to represent India in the pack, but that's just my opinion. Overall it seems like a solid pack so far, I will definitely use several of the species from it.

I'm probably going to be a bit of a grouch this next week or so because this is the second pack in a row that largely doesn't appeal to me, but I don't want that to obscure the fact that I genuinely am happy for those European players getting some more of their local wildlife.

I just hope Frontier strikes a balance next year, because the only habitat species we got from the Americas in any of the four packs this year was the shared wolverine. Ideally, this gives us the ABB and white-tailed deer in the spring. Those two, either the Virginia opossum or NA river otter, and the wood duck (or sandhill crane but now that waterfowl are on the table I need us to focus on them) would be a 10/10 scenery pack. Follow it up with a Latin American animal pack for the summer and then basically whatever for the rest of the year (if it goes on that long) and I'll be pretty damn happy.

So my opinion.
Wild boar: Europes biggest missing guy besides birds. Very happy it made it in eventhough im really surprised after we got two swine already this year 10/10
Mute swan: Was this my prefered waterfowl for this Pack? No, but how could any waterfowl be anything besides a 11/10?
Wolverine: inevitable that this guy showed up eventually, does some serious heavy lifting for the northern parts of the world. 9/10
Saiga: Not really the best pick imo, but its a very unique animal. 5/10
Sloth bear: Definetly the odd pick of the pack for me since it feels kinda out of place among the rest. Also didnt really need another bear 3/10
Takin: Really usefull animal 9/10
Wisent: While i do like it i can help myself but feeling like this is the one that tipped over the ungulate balance for me 7/10
Hermanns tortoise: Glad europe finally has a exhibit reptile and a whole new type aswell, hopefully well see some kind of new grassland exhibit layout 9/10

Overall: Yeah pretty dope pack. Although i have to say its again really ungulate heavy for my taste , but there is none that i really dislike so i give it a pass. Also a waterfowl, hello? Automaticly makes it a 10/10 pack for me. In concept i like that they threw india a bone with the sloth bear, but a antelope, deer and especially monkey would be infinetly more usefull here imo.
And even tho it has 2 animals that are really mostly usefull for europe (and the saiga being the saiga) i feel that the takin, wolverine and swan offer enough that this pack has something for everyone
8/10 pack overall.

Well, we did get the peccary, too.

And if you wanna stretch it, then the wild boar is found in NA

But I feel yah. I'm just hoping we get the ABB. With that, North America is set for me and I don't need anything else, apart from birds

And the Brown Throated Sloth (found in both Americas) was added at the beginning of the year. So whilst of course the Americas were not well represented this year, they did receive a little boost:
• Brown Throated Sloth
• Collared Peccary
• Wolverine

The swan is definitely perfect, and I have no complaints about this pack. Europe is even more complete, but of course, Asia still lacks many lists. But I am full of hope for next spring. Perhaps birds are coming soon!

Dw bro, oceania was the third in a row that did nothing for me and here i am, getting a pack that EXACTLY fits my needs with a cold climate asia area and finishing of europe to an acceptable state, im sure the americas will get some love next year
