Eurasia Animal Pack Hot Takes

Hey, at least y'all have seen swans. In my 22 3/4 of life, I've seen swans 1 time, and it was at a manmade lake in a neighborhood; Houston has a lot of neighborhoods and communities with various lakes/rivers, with some houses having piers. It's crazy.

I've never seen swans otherwise; but I do see a lot of ducks and the occasional goose

There are swans here also in most zoos and bioparks (white and black necked mostly) but i saw a lot of mute swans when i was in London in pretty much every park.

My hot takes:

This is the best animal roster we‘ve (or I’ve) ever seen. Every single animal in this pack (maybe minus the exhibit animal, but I don‘t care for those anyway) wholeheartedly succeeds in making me excited for the future of this game, I‘m especially happy with the Wisent, Boar and Swan!

The Saiga is a good choice. Like, I don‘t know why it‘s even a point of contention that they are completely unique looking, they‘re literally the only animal I can think of to look like they do. Think they‘re an unrealistic inclusion in a zoo?
Just roleplay your zoo spending a bunch of money on a huge enclosure and conservation centre to accommodate their unique needs. Be the first zoo in America to house them! That is literally the coolest story for a zoo I can imagine.

I never understood the "realistic viability“ of an animal being based solely on the amount of real-life zoos holding them anyway. Like, if you‘re not building a faithful replica: Get your creative senses tingling!

I agree.

Inspired by this, another hot take:

I like any inclusions, even if they're not common in zoos. If a zoo houses said animal, then that's ok for me. I miss the Zoo Tycoon days where we could build Semi-Realism zoos with animals from all over the world, whether they were found locally or not...

Plus, the saiga is to Asia what the platypus, Tasmanian devil, quokka, and kiwi are for Oceania

A niche animal I would kind of want...

OK, I would REALLY love this inclusion...
Let's see if anyone can name the species quick! :)

How so? Because they were pretty niche animals so there is clearly more to come?
From my perspective, I think frontiers plan is to give us some of what we want and some we don’t with each pack. With this pack not only do we get a whole new chapter opened up with the waterfowl, but we also got a couple wanted ones like Takin and Wolverine, and others not so wanted like Saiga and Wisent.

The last pack would include a lot of wanted ones and would act as the finisher to satisfy everyone at once.

I agree.

Agree, I don‘t there is any animal they could add that I would actively dislike. Like, I don‘t care the tiniest bit if I‘ve never seen or heard of an animal before its introduction into the game, that only makes me want to get to know them! And if I‘ve seen them before, that‘s even better!

I know this sounds cliché, but I just really love every single living organism on this planet to death, and every species added to this game will always provide some sort of entertainment to me.
