Coati, monkey, pelican and manatee in one pack?

ok the manatee is easy to make its just the gate that would be more difficult but there aint no way we are getting to complex climbing animals and a complex water bird in one pack regardless of the manatee.
I feel like the Manatee could easily be included with a new kind of habitat gate. Something like a pier or wharf that you can attach on a barrier.
exactly It wouldnt be that hard to add all thats needed is a gate fix which needed to happen anyways since I always have issues with the gates.
Oh yeah, I forgot about those.
But still, I don’t really see them adding one fully aquatic and then dip. Also, I don’t get why the manatee gets a free pass on the meta wishlist but whales and dolphins don’t. They’re both fully aquatics, so why does the manatee get special privileges?
The difference is manatees are often in more zoo like settings whereas cetaceans are only kept in marine parks or aquariums.
Also the manatee can very easily be a one off, cetaceans cant if we get an orca people will scream for a dolphin if we get a dolphin people will scream for a beluga there are too many high profile cetaceans compared to the manatee where no one cares which one it is alot of people wouldnt even know there is more than one. This is what sets the manatee apart is what it means if it shows up it wont disrupt much compared to one cetacean which not only would have a strong battle for first but also have ethical issues.
I do agree it should not be on the meta wishlist since it is specified that full aquatics are banned same as the sloth shouldnt be because its now a confirmed exhibit animal.
how annoying it is to build realistic tiny habitats. It's the same reason I've never supported the green iguanas going into habitats. Obviously it's possible, but I don't want the creative pressure of needing to deal with it. And unlike many I have exactly zero problems with the exhibits aside from their general overlargeness, but that has nothing to do with their functionality.
This is further demonstrated in my desire to see the koala actually put into the WTE rather than as a habitat animal. It works for the sloth, it would work for the koala, too. Not to mention most real koala habitats are about that size anyway.
You an me have the literal opposite problem with the iguana. I find the fact that it is stuck in the same 4x4 box with the same decorations as every other tropical animal to be incredibly restrictive and limits how useable I find them. I also agree than the exhibit boxes are way too big for some of the animals but I think that is mostly due to the game being at a mostly 4m scale so a reasonable sized box will look small. I think the iguanas should be both an exhibit and habitat animal because they do fine in the boxes I just want the freedom to give them more personality.
Also your point about building tiny habitats is absolutely correct nothing in the game is built for small habitats all the enrichment items and feeders are way too big you cant even physically make barriers for van habitat less than 100m2 in size. I think exhibit boxes have potential they just wasted it by making the animals bland and soulless because no matter what I do if im looking at the exhbit from a distance I cant tell whats in it because they all use the same like 4 presets with only a few having unique layouts. This combined with the fact that the animals movements feel fake because they never actually make any substantial movements make the boxes boring to look at and hard to build for.
They would be perfectly fine if the animals were given proper movement loops like the walkthroughs and the boxes came in different sizes and themes with the ability to make them open air for further customisability
My ideal situation would be the boxes coming in smaller sizes and being modular with animals changing their group sizes based on how many tiles of space the exhibit has. Once an animal is placed in the box you can then select the flooring theme based on the animals ingame biomes and continents. You can then place enrichment items for the animal and these will act as hotpsots for lopped animation cycles which involve the animal actually moving around and not just head bobbing they will also teleport between enrichment items like they currently do. the walls and roof would also have null options so especially fort he desert reptiles and turtles you have the option for open air exhibits as well as providing more creative opportunity then just square boxes. The only changes I want to walkthrough which a leagues better then the regular is the ability to custom place the enrichment items and different sized boxes because they are way too big.
I'm calling it now but the Malayan tapir remake is just a one-time thing because seriously speaking, the situation with that animal was really pathetic being literally a Baird's tapir with a different base fur texture. They are definitely not going to remake any of the base game animals, because even if they are way worse than DLC ones, they aren't literal clones. I would really love to get an official remastered lion, tiger, or even elephant, but as it stands they don't really have any legit reason to do so, people aren't gonna stop playing the game because the lion is not photorealistic.
I can see them doing the bears, lion, tiger or wolves if they add more subspecies in a dlc but otherwise they wont update them unless they do a big final sales push when support ends to try and get a few more people to buy dlc since if you just wandered into the base game game and saw the animals you may not want to get more if they are ugly.
