Spring 2024 DLC Speculation

I’m starting to get scared now, they added all of the trailer music to the speakers since twilight. These were first in the game at the twilight pack, which makes me wonder, is this a sign of the end? Why add the music from the latest 5 trailers now out of all times?
If they had first added custom billboards now, someone would argue that must mean the end. Stuff has to come with one update or the other

Eurasia pack was good! The update was fun! but... it doesn't seem good enough to be the final????????
Right?????????????? 🤪🥲
My thoughts as well. Like everything was really nice but if this is the final pack is very underwhelming. At least to me.

It does feel like they are wrapping things up though. The leopard, the tapir, the music, the gift shops... so maybe there aren't many DLC left but i don't think this is the last one.

And there are things we have been asking for for a long time as well that have not come yet: more South american animals, more monkeys, more birds ( and they just started to compensate for that this year and two of them being new rigs ), playgrounds, null exhibits walls, etc. Point is there are still things left for great content. Some even seem like being left out on purpose: monkeys and SA animals from Tropical pack, the tree kangaroo from Oceania, the baboon from Arid, etc.

I know it'll never happen, but a small part of me hopes if we make it to the next anniversary they'll drop 3-5 simple "reskin" clones just to cover these semi-highly-requested species. EBB, American flamingo, Sumatran tiger, Masai giraffe, and...Grevy's zebra? Green peafowl?
This would be the greatest free update Frontier could ever do, and it would take them barely any effort to just recolour the animals, little to no 3D modeling required.

It seems a lot to ask for, to have them remodel old animals for free, when they usually charge money for remodelling them in DLC. Just adding new colourmorphs is something they realistically add to free updates.
Couldn't we say both reworks and colormorphs are realistic suggestions for updates? Of course not every update like the colormorphs but reworks were always deemed impossible for the free update as we never got them before but that's changed, it happened once it can happen again. But then probably reworks were never likely to happen until the saiga development happened. Could of been a developer noticing how similar the nose of the saiga was to the malayan tapir paired with the community's never ending desire for a true tapir to bring the first rework.

So there is no hope for a new lion then 🤣

I think they did the Saiga first cause of its fit with the pack as well as the fact that it has an attractive experience for a general audience compared to other Asian ungulates. Then they reused the nose for the tapir.

I haven't checked yet, did they reuse the nose for both tapirs? If so, then that is why they redid the Malayan finally. Probably more as an afterthought/end-of-development decision with the new update.

Decide to add saiga > animate nose > decide to add nose animations to tapirs > why not finally remodel the Malayan while we're here.

Looks the same as normal.

While I certainly don't think we have years of development left, the things in which you guys "see" the end confirmed gets way to abstract in my book. Added trailer music is just that... added trailer music. As random as making the soundtrack buy seperate back in the day.
The Malayan Tapir was fixed because it was highly requested and there was time for it now, not as an afterthought with the Saiga. Sometimes we can take things just at face value.

To me, this:
an afterthought with the Saiga.
is taking it at face value. I think once they animated the saiga nose, they decided to throw in the towel with regards to the tapir and remodel it.

Not that it matters (end result is the same, we got a remastered tapir), and it has nothing to do with the game ending (though I'm still convinced that will happen in 2024).

This tapir and saiga thing I believe also happened with the Camel. When we got the dromedary camel they updated the Bactrian (I can't remember how cause I never use it, but I remember people talking about it). I wish they updated the lion with the sloth bears fur textures but I really can't complain cause this update was such a good one. the hard question is, if this is a trend that they update older models that use new textures and elements of new animals, what animal could be added that would influence them to fix the lion? Tahr or Gelada perhaps? Those both have manes and are fairly wanted.

I disagree I think they fixed it because they had a motive, that being the Saiga. We've seen this in the past with the camels like I mentioned above. They already talked about how difficult it was to make the nose of the Saiga soft and floppy, it wouldn't surprise me if this hard work was shipped over to the tapir.

I don't see the manatee entering the game, really. Plus if we get a manatee but not the walrus I'm gonna riot!
I don't see the manatee entering the habitat. much less the game. :ROFLMAO:

What's it gonna do ya'll, like...fold up its flippers and walk on them to the water?

Why the constant free pass for the manatee, and yet logical view that it's not possible in the game as it is at this point only makes sense to those who are willing to accept it.

Be at one with the truth, temper your expectations. Manatee walkabouts are highly unheard of and may in fact be a myth.

ETA: in regards to game ending updates, I would wonder for updates that gave flexicolor to a lot of different base game sets. Surely they cannot leave the Indian Sandstone set non-flexicolor.

They added color variations to it when we got the dromedary. Like the king penguin got it with Oceania and now the tigers.

More importantly the bactrian camel got it's size fixed with one of the smaller updates coming out in the time after Conservation pack. Long before the dromedary.
